[LIVE] Strange audio/video drop out, but only at one point. - ialand - 2011-07-11

OK, this one is strange, I had a pretty stock LIVE setup (10.10) and everything was behaving fine.

Now, on about 90% of the files I try to play, at the very beginning of the video, I get a 2 second black screen with the audio continuing on, then the picture snaps on, everything in sync fine. I can hit the BACK to restart and the video plays fine.

On a variation of the theme, sometimes it is the AUDIO that drops out, video goes on, then the audio kicks in and all is in sync, again, hit BACK to restart the video and it's fine.

I updated the Nvidia (GT210) drivers to 275 and the latest VDPAU but it hasn't helped.

It's not constant, but often enough to be annoying

Any thoughts?

It's probably the refresh rating changing to 24p. If you find this to be annoying I believe you can set a delay of x seconds before the video can start playing after a refresh rate change.

Ahhh... that makes sense, where might that delay be settable?
