Prevent users from exiting XBMC - DJShadow - 2011-08-01
Because my room mates are absolute morons I need to find a way to prevent them from getting back to windows from XBMC. I have already set a master password and enabled kiosk mode but they are still able to alt-tab/windows key/c-a-d/slash key out of XBMC. I want to be able to prevent this from happening. Ideally I would like a password to be required to get back to windows. Is there a way I can make this happen?

disable explorer.exe and just use xbmc as the shell

At the end of the guide it will tell you how to add XBMC as a shell and start as a shell.
You will still be able to get into windows explorer.exe (your desktop), it just requires a couple of steps.
