Segmentation fault when playing OGV - MartinEve - 2011-08-06 Hi all, Running 10.1 on Ubuntu 10.04.3 (2.6.32-33-generic) installed via PPA, up to date as of 2011-08-06, I am experiencing a crash whenever I try to play a video from my library, all of which are in OGV format (Ogg data, Theora video according to "file" output). The file begins to play but, after about 5 seconds, XBMC just crashes back to the desktop. Crashlog (with debug enabled and backtrace): http://pastebin.com/NxS6hGkW Any advice gratefully received. If you need a sample of the video, any help on how to produce that (ie. how can I cut out a small piece of video preserving container etc. from CLI?) would be helpful. Many thanks in advance! P.S. Apologies; title should have been prefixed with [LINUX] - MartinEve - 2011-08-07 Just for the record, I managed to sort this. Turns out it was actually thumbnail generation that was causing the problem; seems it was unhappy with several of the files in the movies directory, although I haven't yet ascertained why. |
