MarcosQui Wrote:To use another imaging package (studio or genre) you should go to Settings/Skin/Art and choose Alternative Icons.

Hello, thanks for your help but unfortunately I can not follow your explanation to display the icons of genres. may be that your "MQ3 Aeon skin" is not prepared to use alternative icons? I thank you in advance and I apologize if I can create a disturbance, but it would be wonderful to have this kind of embellishment to your beautiful "skin"Huh

- MarcosQui - 2012-01-27

The skin has an internal package of icons of genres, if you use option 'alternative icons' you can use the package it wants, like this:

http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=570778&postcount=10

To have access to genres, use the submenu "genre".

I downloaded a extra theme pack for MQ3 but for certain sections i wanted to make use of multiple backgrounds.

Is it possible to add extra files to those folders with certain file names to let it make use of multiple images (example movies.jpg, movies-2.jpg) or is this something that needs to be done manual?

Firstly WHAT A GREAT SKIN!!!

Second I have an issue using Eden Beta 2 with fanart on movies. Works fine on TVShows. ThoughtsHuh?

Are there any video tutorials on how to add custom menu items? I was messing around with it but its pretty confusing. The skin is also saying I need the "Add Favorites" addon which I cannot seem to find. Any help would be appreciated

chippie Wrote:Thanks Marcos, have you removed the code that looks at the codec and just reverted to looking at the filenames as think there are several people who rip everything as mkv including DVD's which should appear with xvid cases as they would not have HDTV or BluRay in the filename?

Thanks again!

I am including in version 1.2.2 an option to use the bluray-case based in codec or tag so each one uses the way that like.

Problem solved! Wink

Another thing, at this moment the skin supports three diferents tag's for Bluray:

bluray, blu-ray and bdrip.

Is necessary ? I Can just let 'bluray'?

firstly, thanks for a wonderful skin. its by far my favorite.

ok now my problem.
on the home screen i no longer see the backdrop for movies or tv shows.
its a black backdrop. even if i use another skin pack its black.
all the other backdrops are fine.
i was on 1.2.1 then tried the update you put out to address the blueray covers but that didnt fix it. i even uninstalled the skin and reinstalled but that didnt fix it either. any ideas ?

thanks again for the skin.

Why Bluray? Blu-Ray and BD-Rip would be great, but Bluray is simply wrong. How do I use the cases by the way?

bump, anyone?

kees667 Wrote:Still working on list view for file mode. I can't get folder.jpg posters to work. Found out than in low list it does work by deselecting all other options in settings (use poster etc), but when switching to normal list it will then always show folder.jpg squished to a banner. Is there a way to make folder.jpg work for posters?

Also in list view when going to narrow list view I lose the checkmarks for files viewed, is that to be expected?

XBMC/ MQ 3 settings - shivanair - 2012-01-29

Hello Members,

Appreciate if any of the experts could post their XBMC/ MQ 3 settings (screen by screen) for the benefit of others. I have an issue with displaying the artist fanart slideshow in the background while listening to music. (the artist image does comeup in the box, however the background fanart does not appear ). How does one get the background like shown in the image below. Please guide.

You need to enable the Extrafanart option in the sidebar of your library:

Download the Extrafanart using CDArt Manager.

I hope this helps...

Now for my problem / bug...

When I have albums that contain Artist and a featuring artist, E.g. Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna, the logo.png and fanarts do not show. I am guessing it is because the Artist field is being used as a reference for these images..

Is there any way that the Album Artist can be used instead, so that the logos and fanarts show up for the same album artist?

Sorry if this question has been asked already.. But it is really bugging me.

Eden Pre Beta 2 Using Latest Version Of MQ3

Thanks

BluRay has pretty much always been the standard for naming in XBMC to pick up the correct tags. I would rather it stayed than having to rename about 6000 movies. Keeps the filenames one character shorter and lets face it we all know what it means even without the "-" Big Grin
