RE: [Release] VEVO Music Video plugin addon - Blaxxor - 2012-11-10

There's still no easy sollution for people utside us/uk to get this working?

I don't want to set up a vpn service for this to work. It's just too much trouble.

RE: [Release] VEVO Music Video plugin addon - sattekop - 2012-11-10

Go to the TUNLR website and pickup the DNS data.

Put this data into DNS JUMPER and activate it.

VEVO and IPlayer and many more work now!!

RE: [Release] VEVO Music Video plugin addon - FlameCRO - 2012-11-11

Well, i cant get this thing to work.
After i press on any of the videos, like it wil start but nothing actually happens..
Any idea anyone?

RE: [Release] VEVO Music Video plugin addon - sattekop - 2012-11-11

In the Netherlands this works for me, as described above.

Download and install DNS Jumper (google it).
Go to the TUNLR website and there you will find the right DNS data. Put this as a new item into DNS Jumper. Then chose this entry and click on Apply DNS button .

Then open XBMC.
Then go to VEVO plugin.
in my VEVO settings that I just looked up I find:
User data: I have clicked get new token
Under streaming I have chosen to Play for YouTube. I just checked and I need this setting because I do not get it to play with RTMP mode.

NB. I-player works via its own plugin, but I like it better with Program plugin XOT-uzg v3.

RE: [Release] VEVO Music Video plugin addon - Wolfy ZA - 2012-11-30

This app used to be cool before it stopped working outside US countries...

RE: [Release] VEVO Music Video plugin addon - MessyNick - 2012-12-02

Just wanted to add that using the token URL from the xbmc log in a browser got me past the failed facebook login. I can now see my playlists. Many thanks for sharing.

RE: [Release] VEVO Music Video plugin addon - jimjones - 2012-12-03

I'm having trouble accessing my playlists. I've done the Facebook login on my phone and given Vevo access to my facebook but I'm still having problems. When I go to open my playlists, I get the "script failed" error in the bottom right corner.

Here's my xbmc log. Hope someone can take a look at it

RE: [Release] VEVO Music Video plugin addon - a_team - 2012-12-09

I've been encountering an issue where my streams just drop and it skips to the next video.

I think the issue is with VEVO itself. I'm in Canada using Un-Block US service and my bandwidth is more than enough for 1080p. I will play some 1080p vids without issues, but some just don't want to play past an average time. I've tried reducing the Bitrate down to 288p@564kbps with no-joy. It seems like certain videos (especially in the Indie category) will play for 1-2 minutes then the stream drops and just skips. If I play a modern Pop song while bogging down my bandwidth with my server, it will reach it's buffer limit then pause to buffer, not skip.

One of the songs I've had an issue with is "Mumford & Sons - Lover of the Light" and "Lana Del Rey - Born To Die"

When I fire up Firefox and play it through there on Vevo it acts the same way.

Does anyone know what's going on? or a fix?

RE: [Release] VEVO Music Video plugin addon - a_team - 2012-12-31

The Vevo servers just seem to get bogged down once in a while. It seems better now and when it does bog down it's for a couple hours then improves.

Out of curiosity, is there a way to have the Artist - Song Title show up in the Info bar instead of Record Label - Song Title?
I find myself going - Who is this? - and having to go back into the menu, pulling up the playlist stream, finding the song on the list just to see the artist. This and I couldn't care less that ITNO/Columbia Records owns this artist and songs.

Just figured out that if I use the Context Button, it will pull up the playlist. It'll do.

Fantastic Add On, thank you!!! I had been using Vevo quite a lot already on other devices so it was great to be able to add it to XBMC.

One question:

Is it possible to be able to sort 'My Playlists' alphabetically? At the moment it sorts only by date and there are no other sort options...

If this could be added it would be a great help. Thanks again! Smile

RE: [Release] VEVO Music Video plugin addon - R--D - 2013-01-04

When trying to play some videos I noticed it would automatically skip to the next video as if it didn't exist. I found that if I turn off RTMP the video plays fine, as soon as RTMP is enabled certain videos are just skipped no matter what bitrate I select.

I can reproduce this every time (currently) when browsing Videos > Most Viewed This Week and selecting the first entry; Rihanna - Diamonds.

RE: [Release] VEVO Music Video plugin addon - thebearnecessit - 2013-01-13

POLITE REQUEST 1) is there a "party mode" I can use in this addon ie random video playlist?

any experienced users or devs help me with something?

I think it would be great to be able to play a playlist of all the video's in "favorite artists".

(i can see the "play all" option within each artist but can't see ny way of randomising the songs from all your own artists).

kind of like the equivalent of "party mode" in the music library.

surely this would equal the ultimate personalised music channel?

RE: [Release] VEVO Music Video plugin addon - thebearnecessit - 2013-01-13

POLITE REQUEST NUMBER TWO) when i press "i" i'd like to see the artist and the track title on the information bar that comes up.

is that possible?

NB. at the moment i think xbmc only displays the track title.
