I only installed XBMC-RC2 HDAudio.zip — HDAudio + Eden RC2 though.

I haven't installed these which seem to be few days newer:

XBMC-AE-20120306.zip — AudioEngine + Eden RC2 - fix audio dropouts, all channel stereo up-mix

XBMC-AE.zip — AudioEngine + Eden Beta 3

Do I need to install it, or should I wait and see if I have any 'audio dropouts'?

Those are builds using the new AudioEngine (AE) which is still in test/development. There's a couple of developer threads you can follow on those builds, but for everyday use right now I would stick with what you've downloaded (HDAudio patch).

If it works and meet your needs, just use it till they release it....

Is it long before there will be released at final Eden 11.0 release with HD audio support? I only see the RC2 with HD audio released.

i tried installing this one earlier today:
http://voxcommando.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=avc5v7hk00i2vq8vt4hv9m7ts5&topic=479.105

but all the movies/series the sound stutters or lags a little, don't know why...

I haven't done a new combined build since RC2 partly because of that issue. Maybe I will shortly, but there's lot's of goodies going into nightlies, so when exactly I can't/won't say. You can follow the thread in the dev section http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=121877

Ah ok. So its a common problem. Il do with the RC2 for now then, is that what you sugest? Smile

Keep up this good work! Iv been using DVDFab for my bluray collection, and been ripping them in to .iso's with full HD sound, so this work is really important! so keep up the good work Smile

RE: blu-ray in 1080p with dts-hd and truehd - DDDamian - 2012-03-31

Yep - that's a very stable build (RC2) and uses the current databases, so you're not missing anything much from Eden final. Just follow the thread I linked above to stay up to date with that version Wink

@tomasg-

If you happen to have playercorefactory in roaming folder for external player, you might want to disable it. Is your BD-ROM playback blu-ray disc using PDVD or TMT okay? If it is not, you might have driver issue.

After you installed AnyDVD HD, you need to reboot PC for it work properly. If you haven't reboot your PC, try to reboot it and try the Play Disc option again.....

If you have HDMI and your system supports it: https://github.com/downloads/DDDamian/xbmc/XBMC-Eden11.0%20HD-audio.zip
