Yes that's what I would also like to have... maintaining one skin by yourself is nearly impossible, you have to focus on the things you use and you can't support everything you maybe might want to support.
If you have suggestions for the home screen, I'm always open for suggestions whether I'm going to implement them or not.

how about having the settings menu moved down to were Exit and Favourites are with its own "settings" icon? and also have a similar popup to Exit with all the options.
reason being the top menu should be for content (movies, tv, music, etc) and bottom menus should be for others (exit, settings, favourites, etc).

@`Black: quicker transitions (fade-ins/fade-outs or whatever) between views. It makes a skin feel less 'fast'

I support the idea of @krish_2k4 whereby the Settings section would be moved to the bottom near Exit and Favourites. This would make the skin even more family-friendly - which it already is - and would indeed make a clear distinction between 'consumer' usage versus 'actionable' usage.

Also would it be possible for different views for Addons/Apps. Instead of just a list could we not also have thumbnail view?

I don't know yet but I may drop the old home screen completely because there are also many skin settings I need to change for the new home screen. But I'll see if I can leave both.
Search isn't working yet because the global search script will need some small additions.
