iTV Player for XBMC Eden - SavellM - 2011-10-03

Is there a way or anything to get iTV player on Eden?
I have seen it but posts were way back in 2008 or so.

Is there somewhere that its up to date?
Or somewhere I can install it?

Thanks but doesnt seem to work on Eden!

When I try to go into anything, eg The X Factor it comes up with:
Error Script Failed: Plugin.Video.ITV_1.0.5

Any ideas?
Or did I not install it correctly?

I get exactly the same thing everytime i try to a programme from it too.

I think this plugin only works if you are in UK otherwise it won't? If you are in UK then asking in the forum thread might give you quick response.

Hi I'm running the very latest nightly build from xbmc.org on my windows xp pc and the ITV plugin is working great for me

Here is a link to the latest nightlies

I installed the addon - plugin.video.itv_1.0.5.zip

Here is a link to the ITV addon

I placed the downloaded zip file on the windows xp desktop
Then from the XBMC gui went into System/Addons/Instal from a zip
To install the addon


Then I made two folders one called Subtitles and one called Images at the following location :-

C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Application Data\XBMC\userdata\addon_data\plugin.video.itv

you will now if you are in the right folder if you see an existing file called settings.xml.

Do the following if you can't see the above mentioned Application Data folder
remember this is for windows XP

Click Start
Click my computer
Click tools at top of screen
Click Folder options
Click the tab "view"
Click show hidden files and folders
Click apply
Click ok

Then you must replace two files
One is called "addon.xml" and the other is called "default.py"
You can find these files at the following link :-

The folder that you put the two new files is :-

C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Application Data\XBMC\addons\plugin.video.itv_1.0.5

this is NOT the same location where you made your two folders ie "Subtitles & Images"

Just confirm yes to overwrite each file in turn

Then hopefully your good to go

Instead of showing hidden folders could you not just enter %appdata% into the address bar?
