afp subtitle crash atv2 - eaidland - 2011-10-06 Hi! I've updated to the latest nightly build: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=108142 Got AFP up and running with zeroconf and can access videos on my Mac. The only thing missing now is subtitle support. When I try to download subtitles XBMC crashes and restarts. Gave read and write access for everyone to the movie folder in "File sharing", but looking at the subfolders the write access isn't inherited. Tried to give specific access to a folder, but didn't work. What am I doing wrong? Code: 22:06:37 T:155734016 DEBUG: ### [XBMC Subtitles-services.OpenSubtitles.os_utilities] - Token:[r2u8ouj0bae1e1g4cdgrinllh3] - Memphiz - 2011-10-07 I'll try to investigate. Seems to be a problem with writing to afp. How do i reproduce this? (i have not used the subtitle addon yet). Just watch a movie and use the addon? Do i have to do something special for making it write the sub to the movie folder? - eaidland - 2011-10-07 Hi again! Well I've installed the XBMC Subtitle from Add-ons -> subtitles. Make sure the checkbox for "Subtitle Download Folder Same As Movie" is active. I use the zeroconf and chose AFP. For testing purposes I gave "Everyone" read/write access to my movie folder in the "File Sharing" option in Lion. Play movie, press and hold the "Ok" button. You shoud see the subtitle icon to the right. It should crash after 5 secs. - Memphiz - 2011-10-07 thx for your explenation. Should be fixed in: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/commit/21d5b486ecfc8c52ba4b7674f72192a64c221f84 - eaidland - 2011-10-07 God job! Thanks Where can I find this file on the ATV2? I'll just update it myself - Memphiz - 2011-10-07 you have to wait until the buildbot has built the next nightly build - or you have to compile it yourself ... but i bet you wouldn't have asked if you could compile it yourself - so just wait a day - eaidland - 2011-10-08 Ok so when is the next build? xbmc-20111007-e330173-master-atv2.deb haven't got the update. - Memphiz - 2011-10-08 it has ... still crashing? then around the world ... lets start from the beginning ... logs - Memphiz - 2011-10-08 ahh sec ... it could be that the subtitle files where created in your folder with wrong permissions ... so xbmc couldn't overwrite them ... so delete the downloaded subtitles from your movie folder if so... - eaidland - 2011-10-08 No file downloaded to the folder. I notice that the AFP shares are really unstable. Buffering all the time and sometimes even restarts the atv2 Code: 21:02:12 T:144580608 DEBUG: ### [XBMC Subtitles-services.OpenSubtitles.service] - Search String [ CSI:+Crime+Scene+Investigation+S12E03 ] - eaidland - 2011-10-09 It's working after I updated to the xbmc-20111009-6c95a7c-master-atv2.deb - GnarusLeo - 2011-12-04 Bump .. anyone have had any luck with this? Seems like all subtitles just crash XBMC when tries to be downloaded - Ned Scott - 2011-12-05 have you tried the latest nightly build? Can you give us a debug log? - tobl - 2012-02-25 Ok, so XBMC kept on crashing everytiime i downloaded via the subtitltes-addon. I share my files from a time capsule. I know understand that its because the time capsule allow read only. But how do i log in to my account on the time capsule from xbmc so that i can allow it to both read and write? I have selected shared files via "Timecapsule password" in the airport utilities. |
