Question: Scraper with different languages in title and description - Shimo - 2011-11-20

Hey,

i have a little question. I use for example the IMDB Movie Scraper. It works perfect. But is there a possibility to mix languages in the scrapped data?

for example:

http://www.imdb.de/title/tt0936501/
German Name: 96 Hours
US Name: Taken

or

http://www.imdb.de/title/tt0391198/
German Name: Der Fluch
US Name: The Grudge

I want to use "Taken" as Movie Title - but a german description.
In the configuration of the Scraper i can only change the complete language, is there any way to make a little adjustment?

Many Thanks!

with kind regards

Already possible. Just choose the preferred title in the scraper settings.

Ok - but i need to do this manually, is it also possible over the automated scan?

With kind regards

Just do as i wrote. Choose the preferred title language in the scraper settings.

Did that worked for anyone?
Using preferred language only gets me full english or the other language, but not title in english / comments in the other language ...

By the way I'm using the default themoviedb scrapper, which provide the preferred language setting (so I can choose my own language), but nothing about keeping original title.

I checked IMDB, which allow to keep original, without specifying title or content. Anyway seems to apply to all.

Am I missing something there?

No, the tmdb scraper doesn't have that option (keeping orginal title).

Indeed. So I submitted a patch:

Oops, sorry. I could have sworn there is an option Wink

There is one, but for imdb scraper.
By the way, it might be nice to maybe include that parameter globaly Big Grin

This is fantastic!
Will this be added in the official update?
Or how do I add it?

check your scraper settings.
