[AppleTV1][MAC][UBUNTU] Network , need advice! - hourofpenance - 2011-12-05

Hey everybody ,
i've recently bought a HP microserver which i will use as storage for my backups and videos ( as well as time machine ) and i've installed the latest ubuntu on it. My question is : which file format is the best to Format the hard disks i want to share on my network ( i have an ATV1 and a macbook pro) , NTFS and SMB or HFS and AFP ?
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks

It won't matter at all when you share media over the network. Nor will it matter for a networked Time Machine backup, as it makes a disk image anyways. You can also share NTFS over AFP and HFS over SMB.
