RE: [RELEASE] Official XBMC boblight Addon - schumi2004 - 2013-02-03 Anyone noticed that boblight stops after a few hibernate sessions ? Didn't checked log thoroughly yet but it happend after Frodo RC2 and up, i was hoping it would be gone with Frodo Final but it still happens. RE: [RELEASE] Official XBMC boblight Addon - F0x123 - 2013-02-04 (2013-02-01, 00:34)Memphiz Wrote: Its stalling the gl/gles pipeline on each framegrab - you can't see it in any utilisation value. I finally found the reason for the framedrops! With the latest AMD catalyst update there must have been a change in the default video quality settings. So with edge-enhancement, de-noise and mosquito noise reduction de-blocking enabled there are these tremendous framedrops. Don't know why there options were active but disabling them help to run all content smoothly also with boblight So if someone got performance problems and uses AMD, give them a try. RE: [RELEASE] Official XBMC boblight Addon - regnets - 2013-02-08 Hi i got some flickering with the boblight addon. It's only happening on some colour variations and different refreshrates (from the leds). I'm not sure what can cause this. Boblightd with boblight-constant got no flickering. The boblight addon is running on a late 2008 macbook with a geforce 9400 grafics card. I disabled the gpu decoding and switched to software decoding. It's not getting any better. On the other hand i tried the boblight addon on an atv2 (sadly the atv2 did'nt have enough power to decode the video and parse the image information). I've got the same flickering. Boblightd is running on a raspberry pi with the new ws2801 support. Here is my boblight.conf: http://pastebin.com/p10vry1f I think memphiz said anywhere in this post that it is possible to change the tiles which get rendered from the current frame to a lower number (i think from 32x32 to 16x16). Can anybody give me a clue where i can change this setting? So that the atv2 don't have to grab so much information from every frame/image. Thank you in advance RE: [RELEASE] Official XBMC boblight Addon - perkins.jt - 2013-02-09 Hi, everyone. I'm finally integrating boblight into my living room, but I'm a huge noob. My 2 problems at the moment are: 1. only the first 25 (of 50) lights cooperate with boblight. all 50 work if I run the sketch from processing. I have a feeling this is due to my boblight.conf, but I don't really know where to go from here to fix it http://pastebin.com/89Ct1rcC 2. getting boblightd to run when I start the machine. I'm using Frodo on XBMCbuntu any and all help is appreciated. thanks! RE: [RELEASE] Official XBMC boblight Addon - schumi2004 - 2013-02-09 (2013-02-09, 06:49)perkins.jt Wrote: Hi, everyone. Boblight is a wonderful addon but ive been dealing with one issue and I have really no clue how i can solve it. So I hope you can help me. First of all my Setup is: -Arduino Uno R3 running with Adalight -connected via USB to my Dreambox DM800HDse -XBMC boblight addon communicating via LAN with the Dreambox The Problem is, that when I'm playing a video with boblight addon enabled im getting framedrops (I dont know if its the right word to describe it) -The quality and type of the video doesnt matter -The framedrops always appear when im moving the mouse while playing videos -The framedrops apear less often when im just playing the video doing nothing. but still about 20-40 times in 1,5 hours. -The framedrops appear only when boblight addon is enabled -The framedrops appear when the LEDs are off (power cable not plugged in) -The framedrops appear when the boblight addon is set to the wrong network source and is disconnected Boblight plugin for the dreambox works like a charm. the dreambox is in standby when I'm using XBMC. I just uploaded a video showing the issue. and here is the xbmc log matching to the video: http://pastebin.com/i2LGiJ8Q I hope you have enough info to get a clue. If you need to know anything else, ill be happy to explain it. Thank you very much in advance! Greetings Daniel RE: [RELEASE] Official XBMC boblight Addon - perkins.jt - 2013-02-09 glorious! i knew it was something simple. I've just been skipping over any windows based threads +1 RE: [RELEASE] Official XBMC boblight Addon - blubserl - 2013-02-09 (2013-02-01, 21:45)Steini Wrote:(2013-01-31, 11:43)wolfgr Wrote:(2013-01-31, 10:10)skydancer Wrote: Is There any solution to the lights still on after stopping playback?[/align] just wanted to confirm, that i also have the same issue with boblight. sometimes the lights are disabled properly when the video is stopped. sometimes not RE: [RELEASE] Official XBMC boblight Addon - TeKo - 2013-02-09 (2013-02-09, 20:39)blubserl Wrote:(2013-02-01, 21:45)Steini Wrote:(2013-01-31, 11:43)wolfgr Wrote: I have that issue too with frodo ,I think now that the full release is out we will get a fix. It would probably help if everyone with this problem would post which hardware (ambilight not pc) and software they are using. I dont think its a bug in the xbmc addon. Update: Just played video from my laptop with the boblight plugin and it works perfectly. So I'm assuming its a hardware issue (because i tested it with a freshly installed win7 with up to date drivers) Anyone got an idea how to solve this problem? RE: [RELEASE] Official XBMC boblight Addon - perkins.jt - 2013-02-12 Boblight working nearly flawlessly. I'm pretty excited to show it off. The only remaining issue I have with it is some flickering on white edges. It sounds like this issue, but I can't be sure. http://code.google.com/p/boblight/issues/detail?id=38 Is there a workaround for this? edit: some googling turned up this command as a potential fix Code: cp /etc/X11/xorg-nvidia.conf /storage/.config/xorg.conf edit2: and this post. is this still applicable? http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=71912&pid=609280#pid609280 RE: [RELEASE] Official XBMC boblight Addon - umbur - 2013-02-14 I have a problem with connection to boblight and XBMC show me "failed to connect to boblightd" messege. Bolight.conf is OK, becouse it's working on Win7 x64 as long as I do not turn on XBMC. What could be wrong? |
