Glad to hear how well its coming along. Can't wait until its added to the XBMC SVN. Until that happens I will commit syncs for anyone that wants to use them. Actually I just committed a sync a couple of minutes ago for XBMC revision 7983.

- weinerschnitzel - 2007-03-02

I had a little trouble with the latest sync (7983.)
Once I select the internet browser, the web browser came up and froze. I went back to compiling and saw that GUIWebBrowserControl.cpp returned a bundle of errors on lines around 100.
I am not familiar with xbmc code at all, nor am i advanced in troubleshooting. So this is the most I can do for you.
Cheers.

Well the last few syncs I have used had issues. When I load the browser with CEOMR or PM3, XBMC hangs at request sent. This brings up the questions:
Is the links being synced broken?
-or-
Is it an end-user issue regarding XDK 5933(does it work fine with 5849?)?

Also can we see another progress date? I'm a little excited right now.

I just tested the sync out and it definitely works so there isn't much I can do to help you. I highly doubt this is caused by the version of the XDK you have. I would say just wait until ysbox gets it put in the main trunk.

this might be a silly question, But will mouse and keyboard be supported? I just got one of them ione P20 media keyboards, it's pretty spiffy

Ok that is the set of errors I keep receiving.

Possibilities of the hanging problem:
Xbox 1.6 (unlikely)
Compiling issue with GUIlib (shown above)
VS .NET 2003/Vista issue (more believable)
XDK 5933 vs. XDK 5849 (unlikely)
I am an idiot and I missed something (very believable)
Dev-Side issue (highly unlikely)

I guess I could apprehend XDK 5849 and try this on an XP machine.

Thanks and hope this gets someone farther. (me.) Rolleyes

Sorry about the double post. Can't edit.
Ok I got it I just need to preview beforehand.

Those warnings in guilib that you showed in the picture are completely normal. They show up for me when I compile so they don't relate to your freezing problem. I remember someone else said they also had the browser freezing for them. I can't really help you since I don't have this problem. You should just wait until ysbox gets in the main trunk since it is going to be a lot more bug free. If you want you could try out the sync i just commited.

- weinerschnitzel - 2007-03-20

Thanks for the quick response. That was rev 114 so I guess I'll wait for ysbox then.
Thanks for looking into this for me.

The linksboks change log says it was synced to the 8238 revision, but that revision is not listed, i believe it skips it from 8237 to 8240.

The code still isn't bugfree, I have to fix a crash I noticed when changing skins... And then there's now a "clean" way of declaring a external dll in xbmc, I planned to switch my interface to comply with it before I make the branch !

- ysbox - 2007-03-27

just a quick update, the abovementioned things are done, and since I now am able to debug my dll (step into code, define breakpoints and so on) things are going to be a LOT easier... at least it was worth fighting linker weirdnesses for hours Smile
More to come...
