Since this is an application for XBMC, is there any way that can be added to the drop down list? Along with PCM, which is also recognized by XBMC properly but not support in the drop down of EMM. I've posted about this several times in several EMM threads and I've never received an answer about this problem or even somebody simply telling me that it can't be done.

As it works now, I have to select DTSMA from the drop down so that it at least looks pretty in EMM and doesn't put a big question mark in the codec spot, then I have to go in and manually modify the NFO to DTSHDMA so that XBMC will display the proper codec flag. Basically same with PCM. It's not a very elegant solution and of course it only works until I reload the movie in EMM at which time the big question mark is displayed again. It simply can't be that hard to fix.

Can somebody answer this relatively simple question? Hell, tell me what to do and I'll fix it myself. I mean this program was written to work with XBMC. It seems like it should have commonly used codecs included in the drop down menu. I certainly can't be the only person in the world using EMM and XBMC that has files where the media flags don't show up properly because of the codec tag in the nfo.

The build by Dan in the link directly above has already been updated for DTS HD its hard coded, although not sure it was necessary as you have always been able to map audio codecs in EMM?

It now adds to the nfo the correct codec id which is "dtshd_ma", if your saying putting "dtshdma" in the nfo works in eden then that's why embers not working and your nfos won't work when you update to frodo because that expects the codec id to be "dtshd_ma"

You can get the build above to add "dtshdma" to the nfo by doing the following, in ember go to

Edit > Settings > Miscellaneous, "Audio and Video Codec Mapping"

Create a new audio entry

Under "Mediainfo Codec" add "dtshd_ma"

Under "Mapped Codec" add "dtshdma"

If you want a flag to show in ember then go to \Images\Flags in the root of ember and copy the flag "acodec_dtsma.png" and rename the copy to "acodec_dtshdma.png" and restart ember.

You won't have to select the codec manaully after that just do the same for PCM.

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - serieofilo - 2012-12-10

Hello,

I'm currently using Ember 1.3.0.7. I use it for completing different tags that the FilmAffinity scraper in XMBC (actually using the nightly builds of Frodo) doesn't fill or I don't like them (for example, the rating).

I've selected to scrape: Title, Year, Certification (only for Spain), Release Date, Rating/Votes, Tagline, Genres, Country.

I've compared the NFO generated by XBMC exporting library and the NFO after being modified by EmberMM and I've found some differences although they doesn't seem to be a problem.

The only real problem is that EmberMM deletes all XML tags that it doesn't recognize. For example: lastplayed, aired, dateadded, resume, etc.

I've seen that Ember save the thumb URL for posters but it doesn't do the same for fanart like in the XBMC nfo:

Code:

    </fanart>

The problem with this is basically that you can't swith the fanart from the XBMC interface (using the option "choose art > fanart"). And if you don't do the change in this manner (i.e. you change the fanart from EmberMM) then you'll have problems with the new image/thumbnail cache in Frodo: the old fanart will appear ...

So, how do you manage these things in Ember? Or is there an option to not delete information in the original NFO file?

Thanks.

Its never made any sense to me using Ember after stuffs already in your library?

If your changing artwork from the XBMC GUI and its sticking on the old image go to \userdata\Database and delete your "Textures13.db"

Is Textures6.db the same thing?

Yes, I'm saying that with Eden 11.0 and AEON MQ4, the codec that triggers the flag is DTSMAHD. I'm not sure if DTSHD_MA will work because I've never tried it, but DTSMA does not work. If you play the file, after you close it, the flag will show, but only until you shut down XBMC. The next time it boots up, there's no flag. Changing it manually and reloading the file causes the flag to be permanently displayed.

I had problems getting the new scrapper to work, so I removed my old install and then unpacked the new file and now I can scrape movies. This is good!

However, I just tried to scrape a tv show and I get an error. This is bad.

Image

The dreaded 'ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll' problem. The .dll is in the modules folder.

I have an old emm install on another pc and it can scrape tv shows fine so can anyone tell me what I need to do to this new emm build to convince it I have ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll?

Thanks

You know you could have just searched this thread for "ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll" and found the answer much quicker Tongue

Take that file out of the Modules folder and put it in the root folder, or download the one from the link below again as its already been updated

ARF! I did sort of do that. I thought I was to move it to modules but this version was in the correct place. Then I copied another version to the root trying to revert back to what I had. TongueTongue

Thanks, all working now

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - Randall Lind - 2012-12-11

I don't get this Emmer say I have 8008 epsiodes between my 165 TV shows but, Xbmc only shows 7,951 or so. I removed and clear all 3 drives from XBMC and readded them and still doesn't show the correct number.

However my movies are right.

Just checking in on this thread for future reference. Glad someone is working on this project. But the home page could be better, purplepig is weird

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - qtip920 - 2012-12-11

I've been trying to use the cmd commands -newauto -all to scrape some tv episodes. But it doesn't seem to scrape any info for the tv shows. Is this by design? Do the commands only work for movies?

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - CaptainKen - 2012-12-11

Sometime in the last few weeks, *all* new movies stopped scraping. When I choose Scrape, it just sits there saying "Logging in...." followed by the title number. I was on v1.3.0.7 and tonight I overwrote it with v1.3.0.7_fix1. ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll is in the root.

Actually with this particular movie and the non fixed version, it found the movie but just hung on Scraping. After updating to the fixed version it wouldn't find it so I entered title number manually, but as you can see it is still hung on scraping. This is the case *regardless* of what movie I'm scrapping.

Image

I also tried disabling "Ember Native scrapers", but that returns partial information, no poster and with fanart.
