Disregard; PEBKAC.

I thought that colons weren't valid characters for foldernames in most filesystems?

Yeah - that must have been what I did. I use periods everywhere else. Thanks for that.

Damn Xmas party hangover.

toineb Wrote:No problems here but then again unlike Hentai, my library does not include cartoon porn. No

Could it be the type of media being scrapped being the problem ?

I loled at this statement.

Hentai has bashed everyone in WAY too many threads, namely because we all tell him to fix his naming conventions.

Now he's bashing theTVDB, and guess what the anidb scrapper you hold up above your head, it gets the per-episode data from theTVDB because it uses absolute naming (Hint ember can do this too).

Glad to see this project being picked up by others.

- hentai23 - 2011-12-19

umm i dont bash others cause of the naming convention and btw nobody cares about youre episode info when the info for those episodes dont even exist to begin with on thetvdb -.-', and ill say it again my collection isnt just episodes btw anyhow its ova's and movies too -.-' wich DO NOT COME FROM thetvdb but from anidb !!! before you make anidb seem as if it was just a simple middleman id suggest you research a bit more before thinking thetvdb is where the magic happens ...clearly not!!!...get youre facts straight bro..-.-'...

since as ive said the anime episodes i have do NOT!!! air on US tv only on japanese tv -.-' , i have not 1 licensed anime or dubbed aka aired on US tv anime in my collection, fansub's is as good as it gets ...jeez noobs ....-.-'

@hentai23
read the anidb scrapper.
I, too have Movies, OVAs, and Shows. And yes a couple of hentai myself.

If I find that theTVDB does not have the information, instead of bitching about it. I add the information. Odds are you are not the only one that wants that intel. I have about 35 non-US licensed Animes in my collection, I've personally added 10 of those to theTVDB.

You call me the noob, but yet ALL of my US and Japanese shows scrape properly. I add to the community when possible.

I have never saw you actually help a new user (or even attempt), if things don't work the way you want you bitch and moan and make no effort to fix it yourself. For that, you are the noob.

You take from a community and give nothing in return.

ok i admit im the noob once in a while xD

but ok you convinced me to retry this episode tvdb thing

one question ive read about someone wanting to implement absolute numbering instead of this season/EP crap that thetvdb uses to scrape , since EVERY freakin subgroup releases in absolute numbering and most likely will never change ...

is it possible has somebody successfully implemented this for thetvdb

actually i have helped new users btw ...sometimes...if i can xD

and if i have problems i do attempt to fix them but there are times that i too fail sorry for being a bother sometimes jeez -.-'....xD

- Seagoon - 2011-12-19

I'd just like to chime in and say thank you for reviving this great piece of software. I've tried other scraping programs and have always felt that this is the best.

Here is how to use Absolute in Ember
Image
Absolute numbering is available on theTVDB, this will enable the scraping of that scheme

- hentai23 - 2011-12-19

so this works with anidb scraper too then ? since youve said anidb scraper includes thetvdb api

tbh can i leave my anime episode named like this and still get the result i wish?

I'd like to see addition of support for images beyond fanart and posters (clearart/logos/etc from fanart.tv) in a future version if there's enough interest.

Actually thats something I would like myself, so I would assume yes there is enough interest Nod

Well I know its possible it might work under Mono since there are some mono pieces in the source, but at the moment thats probably the least of my concerns, I won't rule it out though

- krish_2k4 - 2011-12-19

can you all just let bodrick sort out the main features first before you start requesting!

this topic is just 9 pages of hentai porn scraping talk!

Thanks Bodrick! If you really want to have a breakthrough for a multimedia management application like this, than cross platform would be the way to go. Because for the moment, there is really zero on Linux that can be used to get the job done. So there is really a necessity for this kind of software. I smell a great opportunity here Wink

However, I can imagine that there are other priorities at the moment. Anyway, for now a VM will do just fine! Thank you for this great piece of software and the continues work and support. Smile
