just wanted to try streaming from xbmc to my nexus 4 with yatse. did that before with bubbleupnp and everything was working. But with yatse it does not work.

I totally understand. I actually hadn't heard of Tasker before (it's actually my wife's android, I'm still on an old BB from work). If Tasker can do netcat, then I can probably build a task myself.

Edit: It looks like Tasker can't do netcat, but it can do HTTP Post, so I think that will work.

But I'm pretty sure you can fill all this need directly with tasker without Yatse if you choose this path.

i tried the tip with long press on icon in yatse. this would eventually refresh and import the new albums but not the new track titles. i could select the newly added albums but the folders were empty!

I have saved a Yatse log. It's from the day it took very long for Yatse to read in the movie library contents. I had it populated in XBMC but Yatse showed zero titles. I pressed the movie button long again and again. Later it did refresh. Don't know why it took so long. I deleted everything out of the log which wasn't on that day. It still is 22.5 MB huge (txt)! Should I delete more and if so what?

Really like the new logo!
One thing I have noticed for some time now but haven't decided if its just me or not.. when in remote mode, the little green/red/blue dot in the corner.. Does it seem VERY slightly off centered, maybe just a little high/to the left?
I might just be crazy on this one, thats why I haven't said anything in a real long time, haha!

Were the plans to add alternate views for non library items scrapped? Any chance you will add thumbnail previews to said media?

And this is the normal actionbar icon I can't really change it's position :p@spyder : I don't think I ever give any date or anything on any feature
And about thumbnails as already explained multiple times they are already handled in file mode, if Xbmc don't send them to me then I will never be able to display them

I had a play with Yatse on a friends phone today - I was very impressed, it really is a very slick app!
I have one question, I was playing around streaming music to the phone (he has the streaming plugin) but I couldn't see anyway to queue up an entire album - can you just stream single songs to the local player or was I missing something?
Definitely will be installing this once I switch to Android though

For the moment no since upnp is limited but with Gotham things will change
New version 3.7.0 just pushed :
* Major internal rewrites (The app should no more start service when not using widgets or notification)
* New Logo
* Work on most info screens and now playing
* Add basic Polish to Voice Commands
* New Catalan translation
* Bug corrections and optimizations
