Well Kodi crash are Kodi bugs
There's a known and reported multiple times problem with crash when accessing playlist via JSON, but still not 100% fixed, so please open a trac issue + forum issue with all logs and crash dumps so the Team can fix that once for all.

Man what a amazing app. Does all the things you ever need in kodi. Ill be buying the unlocker for sure.
if you could have option in settings to hide extensions in file name (.mp4, .mkv etc) when browsing video files in files/playlist option be great.
I dont see thumbnails for video files in files/playlist option. I have a -poster.jpg for each video file which shows fine in kodi. (e.g. video.mp4 with video-poster.jpg)
If i let kodi generate its own thumbnails from the video they show fine in yatse.
Ill get a debug file sometime later ill try get it working.

Well from the logs it's Kodi that does not send the necessary data.

I recently moved from openelec to spmc on a nvidia shield tv buy Yatse doesn't show the now playing. Just a blank white page. Is it a know issue?

There's no known issues
When there's an issue it's fixed. So please open issue with logs and details like screenshots.

I use my openelec rPi2 with kodi, and stream many video on my tablet android...
Can i ask you why, when i play a video with MX Player, at the end of video return to Yatse and don't play automatically the next video? Even if i select "Play All" options...

Because this is not yet supported due to many limitations on Android
