control 2ch Marantz PM-7003 via XBMC - vinalopo - 2012-01-14
Good afternoon,
I am using XBMC (xbmcfreak linux) mainly for audio, my box has an Esi Juli@ sound card connected to a Marantz PM-7003 2ch amplifier
I soon will control the LG tv via USB - CEC adapter, already on order
I am wondering if there is any way to control the 2ch amplifier as well
I see that such amplifier has a Marantz D.BUS RC-5 in / out connector.
Are those control connectors serial one?
Is it possible to build a DB9 to RC-5 connector? if so, does somebody have any schematics?
Any suggestion to later on implement the control? I saw this project http://code.google.com/p/marantz-serial-remote/ but those receiver have a built-in proper serial port
