Please check the wiki page for AS. There are two versions of the beta repo, one for Gotham and one for for Helix onward. I use my beta repo on my main HTPC. I just checked, and it downloaded AS 2.0.6~beta2 last night. If you have the right repo, you might try manually checking for updates. I think Kodi only checks repos every day or so for updates automatically.
I'm sorry but when I click the link on the AS wiki page it directly downloads the Gotham file. No selection possible. For me it is not a problem I can download beta via github - if I'm the only one struggling with this no need to change anything.

Fixed. That was caused by some additional logging I added when trying to troubleshoot the artist change problem. The crash probably only happened with artists that have extended characters in their name. 2.0.6~beta2 is in the repo now.

Nope. That's the link. I checked, double checked, and tripled checked. It is going to the one and only version of the beta repo installer, and that repo is working fine for all versions of Kodi Helix and later. I use it on a machine of my own to download any beta I push out. As of yesterday I was able to get the current beta software downloaded from it.

Based on that log I'd say you have some kind of OS problem. LoadJpeg is failing for everything, not just images AS has downloaded.

Yeah, I don't know what all that was about but it seems to have gone away. Still can't get AS images to show up, though. I've tried the kodi repo and your beta repo versions of AS. I tried modding the stock Confluence skin and using your Estuary mod. I'm on Kodi 17 RC1.

Are you using the stock Confluence for Kodi 17? If so, that doesn't support Artist Slideshow. I'm also not planning to do a Confluence mod for Kodi 17, and I don't think any of the older mods of Confluence I did will work well in Kodi 17.

Similar to @hoschilo I am not finding the AS 2.0.6 beta 2 version either. I download the repo and AS 1.7.0 is what it showing that is able to be downloaded. So there is no confusion:

Apparently I needed to quadruple check the link. That repo link is, in fact, to the old Gotham one. I've updated with wiki with the link to the Helix one. Sorry about that. That was totally my bad.

thanks for the great addon. It worked fine for a long time I used Kodi 14.2 Helix with confluence skin.
Today I've made an update to 17.0, installed AS and AS Helper and installed the modded skin from your repository too. AS shows a message that it's downloading pictures. The pictures can be copied correctly with AS Helper. But Kodi is not showing the slideshow. Not the downloaded pictures, not either the local ones.

I see where AS sets the directory for the artist images to Y:\Fady Maalouf\extrafanart, but when it goes to see if there are images, Kodi generates a directory read error:

That log shows only that Artist Slideshow has been installed. There is no indication that it is ever activated. You have to playing music, have your skin on the music visualization screen, and have a skin that supports AS.
I'll send another log file. I also have a screen capture video, but that's a bit larger.
