Poor to no picture over HDMI - chalk7777 - 2012-03-29

HI all,

I have just done a clean install of the new XBMCbuntu after successfully using xbmc-10.1-live. I am now having big issues with picture quality over HDMI. My VGA output seems to work fine. Out-of-box I can manage to get a picture but the quality is very bad and not possible to play a movie. I can only image this has something to do with the driver but I cannot manage to figure out what. xbmc 10.1 just worked!

I have searched high and low for an answer but to no avail. Any help figuring this out would be appreciated.

Thanks,
