RE: Media Companion 3 beta's - vbat99 - 2015-09-15

What scraper? XBMC TMDb or MC's builtin IMDB Scraper?

Check the website and ensure there are Genre's set against this movie.

Doing a rescrape with re-write the nfo with the changes. Images are only downloaded if you've selected Rescrape All, and you've unselected Do Not Overwrite existing images.

RE: Media Companion 3 beta's - vbat99 - 2015-09-15

Actually, just checked and TMDB does not have any Genre's allocated to this movie.

Might I suggest signing up with TMDb and adding the missing data for others to benefit. Pay it forward so to speak.

RE: Media Companion 3 beta's - vbat99 - 2015-09-15

IMDB has more information. so maybe disable XBMC TMDb scraper and use Change Movie to select from IMDb.

BTW, IMDb lists it as The Bet (2006)

This option, I guess, it effects all movies obviously: http://i.imgur.com/lyK6gOT.png
It cannot be done with a single movie?

Actually I thought, if no information is available in a data base (e.g. TMDB) the / each scraper automatically would try to get the information from the / another data base (e.g. IMDB) and vice verca...but at the moment I cannot find such an option (anymore)...ah, yes, for images only obviously.

When I disable the XBMC TMDB scraper charactes like ü,ä,ö,ß cause a problem. But for this movie it works, the genre is shown.

What does this message mean: http://i.imgur.com/gQmJ5En.png?
After clicking the rescrape button this message appeared, I pressed "Ja" (Yes) and then MC froze.

> BTW, IMDb lists it as The Bet (2006)
Yes, thank you, found it.

RE: Media Companion 3 beta's - Dirki - 2015-09-15

When I press the rescrape button (XBMC TMDB scraper deactivated) the genre is shown. When I then press the rescrape button with XBMC TMDB scraper activated the genre is not shown anymore after although the info file is not rebuild?

Yes, that is a Main option the just reads every movie nfo, and re-writes it. Effectively creating a clean nfo

No, we don't fall-back to other scrapers. That is why there are specific options to scrape some tags from IMDB. Usually each site has all the information, but you've found a movie that is only partially filled in. Its why I suggested signing up at TheMovieDb.org to help by populating this movie's data.

This is known to me, but I have not been able to figure out how to code for these characters.

Error message Object reference not set to an object instance. Not sure why your getting this, as not sure when it appears, what you were doing at the time.

Yes, thank you, found it.

Are you meaning the right-click option Rescrape All? You know you can r-click and select Rescrape Specific -> Genre.
And if any tags are change, the nfo is always re-written. This can be checked by r-click the nfo, select Properties, and look at the Modified field.

RE: Media Companion 3 beta's - Dirki - 2015-09-16

Alright, I understand so far.

I do not remember anymore, sorry, I did different things (may be switch to another profile), the message appeared a few times. I will say it the next time it appears again.

Funny, I had forgotten about that button.

Looking at the code. Yes, this button deletes the movie nfo and all images for selected movie.
Quite destructive actually. Its like scraping the movie from fresh.

Revision History

RE: Media Companion 3 beta's - Cudi - 2015-09-22

Always getting ffmpeg error when searching/importing new movies

clBuildProgram@24 was not found in ...\ffmpeg.exe

following a

ffmpeg.exe does not react anymore.

So current version is not useable for me. As it seems, previous versions work as intended

RE: Media Companion 3 beta's - vbat99 - 2015-09-22

ffmpeg.exe was updated in the latest build.

Can you copy the ffmpeg.exe from previous version and replace the one in MC3.629b.

ffmpeg isn't used for Movies as far as I know, but I could be wrong. But above suggestion should get 3.629b running for you again till I resolve the issue.

RE: Media Companion 3 beta's - vbat99 - 2015-09-22

Sorry, ffmpeg.exe is in the Assets folder.

RE: Media Companion 3 beta's - Cudi - 2015-09-22

Yes.. replacing with the "old" ffmpeg works! thanks

RE: Media Companion 3 beta's - vbat99 - 2015-09-22

Seems the updated ffmpeg.exe was faulty. Edited above release note with link to good, new version. Or Stick with one from previous version till next release.

RE: Media Companion 3 beta's - marhutchy - 2015-09-26

I'm back!
Hard drive died. Luckily had everything backed up Smile

So the recent release has the tag to link movie to TV series?
Is that a manual thing for us?
How do we go about doing that?
