both AMD processors between 94% - 97% usage constantly - lwvdzalm - 2012-06-05 I've XBMCbuntu Eden running on a Acer Aspire L5100 mediacenter (AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual core 5000+ 2.6 GHz and 2 GB ram) but when I start XBMC both processors will peak between 94% – 97% usage constantly (all the time while XBMC is running) so that the performance of the XBMC menu is very poor. Do anyone have any suggestion? Many thanks in advance! RE: both AMD processors between 94% - 97% usage constantly - spiff - 2012-06-05 sounds like you have gl driver issues. RE: both AMD processors between 94% - 97% usage constantly - wsnipex - 2012-06-05 what GFX card do you have? RE: both AMD processors between 94% - 97% usage constantly - lwvdzalm - 2012-06-05 Integrated ATI Radeon X700.... RE: both AMD processors between 94% - 97% usage constantly - wsnipex - 2012-06-05 no hardware acceleration with this card(too old). It should work with software rendering(not sure about 1080p), but you need a gfx driver with opengl support for the GUI. If you are already running the radeon driver(https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RadeonDriver) and still get that high CPU usage, you are out of luck. RE: both AMD processors between 94% - 97% usage constantly - lwvdzalm - 2012-06-05 Thanks...I'll check this driver! |
