Good morning,
firstly, thank you so much for all your efforts, skills and persistence in making this skin truly rock.
I appreciate that there is an enormous amount going on behind the scenes in order to make this skin work, however
when i return to the home screen (for example after playing live TV or music) there is a noticable 2-3 second delay before the main menu becomes visible.
is this normal behavior or is there something wrong?
any ideas?

Hi Dan
It's not something that I have/am experiencing. MQ4 can be very CPU intensive though. I'd have a look at the CPU usage when you’re getting this delay and see if there is any noticeable rise.
If there is you could try using the 'skinners cut' which does not have the customisation function of the home screen, but does cut down on the CPU load.

I will have a look at the CPU pattern when I get home tonight ... instinctively I doubt it will be high as its running on an i7
as an aside, if i go for the skinners cut, how much customization do i lose (do i lose menu items and everything ?)

The only thing you loose on SC is the ability to reorder and add new items in the main menu.
If you’re running an i7 though, you should be more than equipped to handler the full version.

I agree the i7 only running xbmc should be fine but i will validate through perfmon tonight and get back to you ...

Hi
Where can I find the download URL for the extrapack ?
Also where do the Parental Rating images come from in the top left hand corner? They started appearing after I switched to the Universal Movie Scraper which uses IMDB but not sure where the images come from?
I believe these are not part of the extrapack unlike the studio icons.

I've asked Marcos to re-up the extra pack. I guess he'll get round to it when he can.
The rating icons are stored within the skin folder.

I did look in to the sub-folders in:
/home/xbmc/.xbmc/userdata/addon_data/skin.extrapack.aeonmq.4/
I could see studio icons but not the rating icons.
However I have just found them I think in:
/home/xbmc/.xbmc/addons/skin.aeonmq.4/media/flags/rating

For some reason the extrapack would not download and install from within the Aeon MQ4 Skin on my Ubuntu HTPC, I had to previously download the extrapack from the Internet somewhere and install it manually, but now cant remember where I downloaded it from?
I did not have this problem however on a Windows 8 PC, it installed fine on that machine by select the Extrapack item from the bottom menu in the skin.

Hey Guys
Please help me
So I own the Ethernet port + dual hdmi version of the Intel NUC. Firstly I installed Windows 7 x64, then downloaded all the drivers for this NUC and installed them. Then I installed XBMC followed by the Aeon Skin.
Then I noticed that the skin is not showing properly. It looks really ugly in some parts. I have included some screen shots:

So I thought it might of been a bad xbmc/skin install. I reinstalled both xbmc and the skin. Again same problem. :/
So I tried reinstalling windows 7 again, and then everything else. Again same problem.
This is happening for windows 8 too. Same problem. I have tried installing skin from the repo as well as the actual download. I am getting the same problem.
Please help guys? What is wrong?

How do I copy the Aeon mq4 skin settings / menu customisations over from one PC to another?
I have copied the entire Userdata and the Addons folders from first PC to second PC, but the new second PC the menu customisations are default not the same as first PC.
I just re-copied guisettings.xml but doesn't seem to make any difference.
