Check your keyboard. Your loudness is clipping and i only understand foobar...

RE: XBMC - constrictor - 2012-07-27

Yes there is. Most skins offer the ability to Hide options on the main menu that you dont want to see. If you dont want the VIdeos section to show, just hide it.

OH, AND WELCOME TO THE INTERNET. PLEASE STOP TYPING IN ALL CAPS

RE: XBMC - HenryFord - 2012-07-27

Okay - here is what I gathered from this post:
He is looking for a way to autostart XBMC into the Movie section, so he hasn't to go through "Videos", etc. (which doesn't make sense to begin with - use the library function and you only have to click one single menu item).
However - I think that is a skin feature, but I'm not sure about that. You can certainly launch into a menu-item directly, but again - that may be dependend on the skin.

So, now for the rant:
Coming onto a forum, registering to post a question and then just shouting nonsense at the users? That's not okay.
You could at least TRY to ASK something, instead of just shouting random things into the room.

The title is so descriptive, you're bound to get an immediate answer to your question.

RE: XBMC - dazzer1 - 2012-07-28

Sorry for the caps writting im using eden and now just the default skin.
From when i start window it gos to the home page.

But then i have to press enter on Videos then gos to the sub page of files, add videos .press enter again and then i get to the movie wall Can i some how hide the Sub files , add videos page

Thanks Again sorry for the caps

RE: XBMC - clubwerks - 2012-07-28

You're doing something wrong. Not sure what skin you're using, but you should have Movies and TV Shows both as options right from the home menu. Try another (better) skin.

RE: XBMC - Aenima99x - 2012-07-28

Dazzer - sounds like you haven't scanned your files into the library if all you have is videos on the main screen and not tv and movies. Take a look here - http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Video_library

Clubwerks - He said he's using the default skin (Confluence)

Since you are using the default Confluence skin, you can do the following: System > Settings > Skin > Home window options. Deselect the "Hide - Movies" option (i.e., radio button should be grey, not blue). This will give you a MOVIES menu option on the XBMC home page.

RE: XBMC - clubwerks - 2012-07-28

Yeah, I've never used the default skin, so I'm not familiar with it. I do know that using Aeon MQ3, you don't have to do anything to get Movies and TV Shows to show up on the main menu bar.

RE: XBMC - dazzer1 - 2012-07-28

I tryed to change the home.xml and the start xml but still nothing cant seen to get xbmc to launch straight to the movie wall

<control type="button" id="10">

RE: XBMC - dazzer1 - 2012-07-28

Just decided to change skins to see if that would make a diffrence now using back row When i launch xbmc it gose to the movie icon in the main menu

But when i click on the movies tab it then goes to the sub menu of file, playlist, video addons ..... So then i have to press file then press movies just to get to the m ain moive page hope you understand what im trying to say ..
thanks

RE: XBMC - artrafael - 2012-07-28

As previously pointed out by Aenima99x, you probably need to scan your movies file directory into the library. After that's done, when you click on the MOVIES item on the home page, it will display all the movies in your library. No submenus involved.
