Movies skip and miss around 1 min issue??? - Josseys - 2012-11-01
Hello everyone.
I'm pretty new to xbmc but I've been having a strange issue with movies randomly skipping a bit of the movie eg 30-60 seconds.
I have updated my nvidia driver and ensured xbmc is upto date and then installed k lite codec pack.
It skips with Mkv, divx and mpeg.
I have turned off the hardware rendering setting but made no difference.
Any thoughts please?

Not really sure what's going on.... random skipping is a bit unusual. Really requires a proper debug log posted to http://xbmclogs.com/ and linked to message here. XBMC doesn't use codecs (they're built in) While playing a video hit the keyboard 'o' and you should see a video osd that might help you determine lost frames and bottle necks.

Try changing your audio device and then watching the offending video. Try each and every one. I had the same problem and that's what worked for me.
