Hi
What is the best media player for xbmc? I'm looking for a super budget player that can have a hard drive externally plugged in.
Any ideas?

Plenty of options, A really cheap windows machine? Small linux box? Apple TV? Apple TV 2? Raspberry Pi is super cheap! Depends on your level knowledge as well and if you want it to be HD etc?

I would like digital audio and HDMI out. I'm lazy so I want something thats plug and play

For ease probably windows then (depending on your preferred OS choice) so something like this maybe? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883103297 Not that cheap compared to a Pi or ATV2 but they require a little more "hackery" to get XBMC working.
