XBMC on GMA3650 in Windows7 32bit? GUI and Playback Performance? - IsleOfMan - 2012-12-03

I know the ATOM + GMA3600/3650 is pretty heavily derided for its lack of Linux and Win7 64bit drivers, but how is its GUI and Playback performance in XBMC running in Win7 32bit? I have an ATV2 I'm looking to replace, and if this is a serviceable platform I'm willing to give something like this or this a shot. While I would prefer to run OpenELEC, if I can save significantly on the hardware by running Win7 32bit, I'm willing to do so.

Anyone have any experience? My spare ATV2 is now sold (got $175 for it), so I may bite the bullet and experiment with this combo after the holidays. I'd like something quieter than the recycled P4 desktop I currently have in the bedroom, but don't need something tiny like a Zotac since I can just stash it behind the LCD in a TV hutch. For about $20 more I can go E-350 in a similar mATX barebones configuration... we'll see how the Christmas gift cards flow in this year!
