The memory leak seems to be in python. We are working on it.

I compiled new OpenElec version with XBMC Frodo RC1 and smaller a/v buffer. I watch two long online movies and no freeze and crash.

I just wanted to pop in this thread and say THANK YOU to everyone who is helping to solve this pesky issue. I have been having the same issues with not only HD streams but also some good quality SD streams.

Unfortunately I have not had the time to dedicate to grabbing logs and posting them. I am hoping that with Jas0npc, popcornmix and rjeb (as well as others) working on this together a fix will be found within time.

THANKS AGAIN!

By chance anyone of you used : skin.immersive, it brings in a script service.skin.widgets which holds a lock to the player and produces memory consumption.

Edit : Forgot to mention it is in ~/.xbmc/addons/

No mate, this is all standard install, no overclock

When you use any third party plugin it is not standard Wink

RE: Kernal killing xbmc task on 256 board - jas0npc - 2012-12-11

Is as standard apart from the addon of a 3rd party addon lolSmile, I have to say though, its not any 1 addon, with me its with any addon that can play hd media

RE: Kernal killing xbmc task on 256 board - lowridin_guy - 2012-12-11

I have never used or installed that or any other skins.

RE: Kernal killing xbmc task on 256 board - jas0npc - 2012-12-11
