Subtitles stopped working (have log) - chicowoodhill - 2012-12-11
Hi -
Subtitles have always worked great for me until recently. I've re-installed the plug-in, no luck. The subtitle file never gets written to disk, the show plays continues playing without subtitles.
Logs contain two notable errors:
22:50:09 T:2954383360 ERROR: OpenStream - Unable to create subtitle parser
22:50:10 T:2895063592 ERROR: ClearBlock: Trying to clear non existent block /Users/jduncan/Library/Application Support/XBMC/addons/script.xbmc.subtitles

Found it! Somehow the external volume got its permissions screwed up.
I had set the external volume permissions (this is OSX) to "Ignore Ownership on this Volume".
I just looked again and found the checkbox had somehow become unchecked. No idea when or how.
Re-checked the box, now subtitles work.
