[WINDOWS] Frodo RC3 Which movie scraper works? - NeoDuck - 2013-01-17

I just upgraded to Frodo RC3 and it's awesome!

Setting up content now, however, the movie scrapers I normally use are broken: IMDB & TMDB

What are other people using to scrape their movies? Seems like those two are the main ones and they're labeled as broken?

IMDB is being replaced by the Universal scraper which should work. By default it scrapes from IMDB however once you look in the settings it is extremely customizable.

TMDB should not be broken.
Select xbmc repo and do "force refresh"

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I'm not sure how to do that?

I enabled the universal scraper but the download is stuck at 0%?

System/Settings > Add-ons > Get add-ons > highlight XBMC.org repository and open its context menu (keyboard "c" or right mouse click), then select "Force refresh".

Try downloading it again after you've done the Force refresh.

Thanks! When you do the Force Refresh, is there any kind of confirmation that something is happening? The add-ons don't show any changes after doing the Fore Refresh or Update?

No, other than perhaps your PC's disk activity light may be blinking when it's refreshing the repository. Wait some minutes to allow the refresh task to complete.
