pressing record button in live tv, nothing happens - Birdincamera - 2013-02-14
Hi all
I have a 3 client, 1 server XBMC setup using media portal back end/front ends. I dont seem to be able to start an 'instant recording' of a live TV stream using the 'record' button of my remote (Harmony, set as an Ortek remote with commands taught with the original remote). I know the remote is set up ok as 'show key' app captures the keypress - <r mod="ctrl">Notification(Key, r, 3)</r>.
It seems the only way I can record 'instant is to bring up the context menu whilst in channel list or by selecting another channel and bringing up the EPG and highlight/context menu and select record.
I have checked the options in system setup for 'live TV' - 'Recording' - why have a setting for 'instant recording' when it can't happen the logical way - (am trying to set up the clients that would be 'wife' proof, ie, much like an old VCR - select channel, hit record.
unless I am missing something.
ps: timer recordings are no problem.
