RE: libstagefright - Experimental hardware video decoding builds - ibrahimbenyahya - 2013-06-30

Hello,

I have a minix g4. I installed the xbmc build which you can fins in the opneing post. Then I downloaded the advanced settings.xml.txt, which you can find at the kirkout minix forum. This is because I use the 1080 p rom of kirkout.

Then I removed the txt at the end and i moved the file to the right place.

But 720p files still doesn't play smooth...

What did i do wrong

Many devices are having troubles using alpha 4, i think you too. I would go back to alpha 1 and wait for a new update.

Just installed xbmc-20130604-249ada1-Gotham_alpha4SF-armeabi-v7a on OUYA (1.0.328_r1 1.0.6) and so far it's much better than Frodo 12.2.

My only issue (and this is really more of a feature request) is that I have to use the D-Pad part of the controller and not the left stick. (Actually it would be cool if the entire controller could be mapped/used.)

For what it's worth, I've been using my PS3 controller on my Ouya in XBMC and have found it far better than the stock Ouya controller.

How did you get youtube and Mash up to work?

RE: libstagefright - Experimental hardware video decoding builds - Sonic Lux - 2013-07-01

Hi, i am using 20130604-249ada1-Gotham_alpha4SF-armeabi-v7a on OUYA and it crashes a lot.
12.2. and the Gotham Release from 19.06. is stable, but without libstagefright.

Anybody has the same random crashes on Ouya?

RE: libstagefright - Experimental hardware video decoding builds - legendx - 2013-07-01

Sonic Lux: Same thing here, using 20130604-249ada1-Gotham_alpha4SF-armeabi-v7a. It is pretty unusable at this time.

RE: libstagefright - Experimental hardware video decoding builds - rogerthis - 2013-07-02

Is there anything new in the new test build xbmc-20130630-9188e6a-master-armeabi-v7a.apk?

RE: libstagefright - Experimental hardware video decoding builds - Sonic Lux - 2013-07-02

I think all apk`s without "SF" in are without libstagefright and so without hardware decoding what sucks for me.
(For Ouya ... )

RE: Support Thread for libstagefright - Experimental hardware video decoding builds - Koying - 2013-07-03

A Gotham alpha5 build has been added.

RE: Support Thread for libstagefright - Experimental hardware video decoding builds - Mafarricos - 2013-07-03

Will try it at night (alpha5), lets see if is more stable than previous Smile

RE: Support Thread for libstagefright - Experimental hardware video decoding builds - mo123 - 2013-07-03

It won't be possible to test this build since it suffers from the same bug that the android nightly builds have.
Video & audio playing too fast with dropped frames.
See my previous post with log and details - http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=167733
Davilla says it is a known issue and I hope it can be fixed soon. Smile
