Just want to chime in and and note that USTVNow AutoTune is also not working for me. Regular USTVNow plugin is working fine. I can post a log if required.

XBMC Build: Gotham Beta 3
PTVL Build: 0.36

What's not working? Are all of running my copy of USTVnow plugin?

I think the probelm is git versions of my ustvnow plugin. I will push an update to insure its up to date.

::Update:: Nevermind, Git version is correct!

I'm going to need details on whats not working... since it works great on my xbmc setups...

RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - Lunatixz - 2014-04-03

I think I may know why USTVnow isn't working for some of you...

The folder name has to be "plugin.video.ustvnow"

It's always good practice to remove the "-master" from any git zips you manually install...

Considering the only log I have shows no faults with the code... I have to assume this is the problem?

Let me know!!

Not debugging! I only posted it so that you can play with it...
It's not fully functional and at times may not work at all.

Chtype = 15 "Direct Plugin" isn't finished so please hold back the bug reports! Not all plugin's are created equally, so it will take time to weed out problematic returns.

What exactly is working?
Uh-oh... don't want to create more confusion - let me start over.

Problem A: AutoTune Fails to Build USTVnow
I was thrilled to learn v0.3.6 would bring USTVnow back to PTVL. After you announced the update to include this feature, I wanted to give it a go.

To keep test variables to a minimum, I decided to generate a new settings2.xml using the AutoTune feature, enabled only for USTVnow channels (ie: nothing else should be created but the seven free subscription channels). That failed with a FATAL ERROR message, and no channels were created. That post is here, and the log from that failed run is here.

Given these surprising results, I rebooted the machine and ran the USTVnow plugin on it's own (ie: without PTVL running). Six of the seven channels worked fine (ABC was dead, but it's fine tinight Tongue). So the basic function of the plugin (Luna v9.9.9) is confirmed to work here.

Arrrrgh ! OK, strike B from the list... for now. I just checked this minute (ie: USTVnow within PTVL), and six of seven channels play OK. Tonight's recalcitrant channel is CBS - both in PTVL and in standalone mode.

Is this how reliable the "free" account is... intentionally crippled to promote paid subs ?

(sure curious what hung the system, according to the log below)

Problem B: Manually-built USTVnow Locks Up xbmc Sad
To remove the AutoTune variable from testing, I built a settings2.xml by cut/paste of the USTVnow example you added to post #2. No other channels, just the those from USTVnow. The report (and different log) from that test is in this post.

I merged the USTVnow code into my prior 30+ channel settings2.xml file, and PTVL runs fine with all other channels, but it hangs if I choose from the USTVnow group.

I hope this is clear.

Have u tried to disable "cache" under "misc"?
Then force reset channels...u may have unicode issue ,too.

Sorry, I think you misunderstand me. I am currently not using the automatic settings in PTVL to create BCT's. I have in fact done them all myself by interleaving directory channels as it gives me more freedom. I have had this setup since using the original PTV. Older versions of PTVL worked it is just the recent builds. The problem I have is that the newer versions of PTVL seem to ignore my channel rules and skip the interleaved directory based channels.

Here is a snippit of my setup

Channel 1 - is a directory channel (It plays a video clip of my channel guide) <--- This channel works fine
Channel 2 - is a directory channel (A folder where I put pre-school educational videos for my daughter) <--- This channel works fine
Channel 3 - is an action genre channel with:
Rule: Interleaved channel 201 - hidden directory channel (Folder with bumpers)
Rule: Interleaved channel 202 - hidden directory channel (Folder with Adverts)
Rule: Interleaved channel 203 - hidden directory channel (Folder with Trailers) ....This rule setup is on all my movie and show channels but the new PTVL skips the interleave rules.

Ahh okay, when I get some free time I'll review your logs. In the meantime can you try disabling system cache under misc. And force rebuild your channels. Let me know if that fixes your problem.

Hi Lunatixz,

I disabled system cache then forced rebuild. Still no change, the interleave rule is still being ignored. I then deleted the cache folder and done a force rebuild, still no dice. Confused

Here is a new LOG I let it scan up to channel 10 (The log size was getting big). The problem starts from channel 3. I would be extremely greatful if you could take another look when you get a moment.

Hi Lunatixz,

Thanks for your work!

Concerning Youtube channels, would it be possible to add one of the following options :

Youtube Feeds (such as the categories from our subscriptions) or to be able to add multiple user accounts to one channel :

e.g.

<setting id="Channel_#_1" value="MotorTrend" />
<setting id="Channel_#_1" value="fourwheeler" />

<setting id="Channel_#_rule_1_opt_1" value="MotorTV" />

YouTube is pretty much finished. Use switch 9, and create your own gdata query.

Fair enough but these Gdata queries won't help. As Youtube search filters it's too basic and not very relevant.

I don't know about that...
