  • I'm running into an issue where PSTL list's interleaved youtube channels simple as "Stacked" instead of saying what video it's playing. This only occurs with youtube channels which are interleaved.
  • Also changing to some channels seems to take forever. I have no idea why or what's causing it.
  • I have internet trailers & commercials enabled, the problem is they are the only thing that plays on my channels. None of my own media will play. The same episodes that refuse to play on PSTVL will play fine from my library.

xbmclogs kept telling me that my paste contained a phrase that has been censored so I posted it here: http://snipurl.com/291upcf

1. Stacked is hard coded to "Stack" any youtube videos under 15mins, but I will link it to the "Hide very short video" option so that its configurable.
2. Nothing to do with PTVL... PseudotTV Live treats every source the same... however the latency between sources are usually drastically different. I/O, Network, Internet, Plugin and System speed all play a part in channel changing times...
3. Confused this was already mentioned twice, and was fixed it will be included in next update...

Sorry about that, today is a busy day for me and I haven't had a chance to look back over previous posts, I just wanted to post my errors. In any case, thanks so much for responding, and I LOVE PSTL & you for creating/maintaining it Wink

I'm messing around with the plugin options for building channels and I've run into a few issues I can't seem to figure out.

For example, I'm using the Russia Today plugin to set up a live channel like so

Code:
<setting id="Channel_35_type" value="15" />
<setting id="Channel_35_time" value="31227" />
<setting id="Channel_35_1" value="plugin://plugin.video.rt/" />
<setting id="Channel_35_2" value="RT Live" />
<setting id="Channel_35_3" value="RT Global Live Auto,RT Documentary Live Auto,RT Espanol Live Auto,RT Arabic Live Auto" />
<setting id="Channel_35_4" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_35_rulecount" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_35_rule_1_id" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_35_rule_1_opt_1" value="Russia Today" />

It's my understanding that option value three is used to filter out the streams you DO NOT want to show up on the guide but in this case it doesn't seem to be working. The Russia Today channel loads up on the guide as Channel 35 however I still have RT Global Live Auto, RT Documentary Live Auto, RT Espanol Live Auto, RT Arabic Live Auto. The goal is to have the channel play nothing other than the RT America Live Auto stream.

Here is the content of my m3u just to verify the naming conventions.

Code:
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:3600,RT Espanol Live Auto//RT Espanol Live Auto//RT Espanol Live Auto//Unknown////tvshow|0|0|False|1|NR|

Any ideas?

P.S. is the community that's supposed to be sharing working channels/guides etc up and running? If so point me in the right direction, I'm more than happy to share what I have.

I would wait for v.0.4.6 since I rewrote a lot of the code...

Switch _3 needs to be exact match - case sensitive...

Okay will do. I'm just experimenting with the options.
Awesome program BTW. There's so much potential with the plugin option and the superfavs. Big Grin

::Update::

Testing load times using XBMC Library artwork... so far speed isn't that bad... once the cache builds up repeated loads of the same image is a lot faster.
I may remove downloading missing artwork, till something better comes along...

Would need to see your xbmc log to tell you anything.

Hello, I am new to xbmc and just beginning to learn coding in school. I followed the instructions in posts 1, 2, and 3. I installed all the depenencies via xbmc zip extraction, and the installed psuedotv live, adjusted the settings, started addon, it prompted me about auto tune, I said yes, it started up and just said "loading", so I left it over night and it was the same the next morning. Im runnin gotham on windows 7. Im sure I am doing something wrong and if this is in the wrong forum/area please direct me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

You're probably having the same problem I had. Scroll on back to post #4900 in this thread for details.

You need to disable the option to use Super Favorites in the PseudoTV settings. See if that fixes it.

I just went through the nightmare of trying to install this myself. The issue was that plugins that are listed as "recommended" in the first 3 posts, are actually mandatory. In particular for me, the "ustvnow" plugin was showing in the log as "no dependencies met", while in the instructions, it's clearly an optional plugins for LiveTV/Autotune (which I wasn't even planning on using).

So, just make sure to install all plugins, even the one listed as "recommended". Hope this helps.

@Lunatixz, great job on the plugin! I will be having a lot of questions shortly though, once i give up trying to figure things out by myself.

Are you sure?
Code:
<import addon="plugin.video.youtube" optional="true"/>
        <import addon="script.artwork.downloader" optional="true"/>
        <import addon="plugin.video.ustvnow" version="9.9.9" optional="true" />
        <import addon="plugin.program.super.favourites" version="0.9.1" optional="true" />
2.3.3 optional attribute
The dependency may be made optional by setting the optional attribute to true. This will only install the dependency when the add-on actually needs it. Even if this dependency is missing, the add-on can still be installed.

Do you want me to do a clean install of v13.1 and install PseudoTV Live from scratch and show you the log? Not being sarcastic, I will do it if that helps to identify an issue. But yes, I am 100% sure that my log was saying "dependencies not met" and "ustvnow" in the same line (don't remember the exact wordage).

I've installed PseudoTV from zip (from the first posts). Couldn't find any repo with it. Version 0.4.5 according to addon.xml in the zip

Are you sure?
Code:
<import addon="plugin.video.youtube" optional="true"/>
        <import addon="script.artwork.downloader" optional="true"/>
        <import addon="plugin.video.ustvnow" version="9.9.9" optional="true" />
        <import addon="plugin.program.super.favourites" version="0.9.1" optional="true" />

Not needed... I was using xbmc's development wiki for reference, could be outdated?
