If I post a comment and say "hey Luna, my epg are loading really slow on my fire tv" and everyone who are using their fast htpc replied back and say "no issue here. great job on the latest from github Luna btw." Are you going to be like "hey breezy send me some log let me take a look and spend a couple of my precious hours working on this even though I done suggested not to use it for low power devices" or would you say "[not a bug on my end, lol...]" I understand it was sarcasm but that's where I was coming from.

But hey ignore my previous comments. I am sure you have far better things to do then to respond to repetitive complaints and questions when you can spend that time devoting to furthering development of this add-on.

You know that you can fork this project from github and take a look yourself I'd you are not happy

Right I haven't used PTVL in a while, for some reason my imported XML data is now 6 hours behind, Since using PTVL few months ago i haven't stopped the XML grabber script i set up so I have no reason to suspect thats changed, but i'll take a look soon. I do remember there possibly being talk of adding some sort of EPG shift for USTVnow and others I also see some XML service settings, so is there anything i'm missing thats stupidly obvious that i should check first before pulling it all apart?

Thankyou for taking up the Manager! It has been much needed for me. I was getting the same error as bigsteel99, this linked version works for me. Going to give it some testing when I get a chance. Again thanks for the work your doing and of course thanks to Luna for his ongoing hard work on PTVL Big Grin

To fix that error install the SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP2:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5783

Make sure to install both the 32bit and 64bit on your machine.

Not getting the SQL error, per se. For me, it shows the "Database connected" success prompt, but then I receive an "index was outside the bounds of the array" error.

PS: If this development still has a lot of work (I can't tellWink), it may be good to start a new forum so we don't bog down Luna's thread.

I never said I wasn't happy about anything. There is nothing from what I said that you can quote back to me showing that I am unhappy. I merely made a suggestion. And my suggestion was: instead of turning off epg all together why don't you make it possible for users like me with low power devices to schedule when the epg gets update during off hours. To be clear, when I said 'turning off' I didn't mean stop support egp completely. I also want to make it clear that I never said it wasn't impossible for myself and others to turn it back on. All I was saying is I rather use the software as the developer intended for me to use it. And I will quote you on this. "They are so there to enable against the add-on developers recommendation." - Which makes my point. Why would I want to use something that is against the developers recommendation. Everything I said was taken completely out of context.

Mentioned previously in the thread. That feature is called set-top box mode and is incomplete at the moment.

Breezytm... Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you the same user that compared me to Microsoft? In the context of if they can do it, why can't I?

I am probably going to have to do that.

The only time I could reproduce the "index was outside the bounds of the array" error, was when I didn't have ANY local media in both TV/Movies on XBMC. I need to work on that, and allow it to work with nothing, but for right now, there will need to be SOME record of each for TV/Movies.

I have pulled the github repo for now, until I can get some more help from Lunatixz, but I have a video of some more (future) improvements in action if anyone is interested:

RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - azrael17 - 2014-10-09

I've been thinking of a way to set up a number of dynamic NHL channels for a while. I use the HockeyStreams addon hosted here to access my HockeyStreams account. The structure of the plugin is that all live game streams are under "Live/Upcoming". The only problem is that the available streams are going to vary depending on which games are on.

Does anyone know of a way, or is it possible, to setup a sequence of channels (ex: Hockey1, Hockey2, Hockey3) where each channel displays an individual feed?

Also, Luna, as a possible feature request, would it be possible to have something in the code where if a source fails or is unavailable that a channel would fall back to some locally stored splash screen or video. For example, if the USTVNOW channels failed those channels would still be available in the guide but when accessed it would show a looping video that say "Channel is Currently Unavailable" (similar to what you see when actual TV channels have technical difficulties.
