RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - Justin9 - 2014-12-13

I have been trying for weeks to get a youtube user playlist channel working... the playlist has music videos, I can not get it to work... i have the most up to date youtube addon, and stable pstv master...

here's my channel settings:

<setting id="Channel_89_type" value="10" />
<setting id="Channel_89_1" value="PLqfcIbmVz74waZ-O0AK13xrpYB6CpgLvB" />
<setting id="Channel_89_2" value="2" />
<setting id="Channel_89_3" value="500" />
<setting id="Channel_89_4" value="0" />
<setting id="Channel_89_changed" value="False" />
<setting id="Channel_89_rulecount" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_89_rule_1_id" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_89_rule_1_opt_1" value="User Playlist" />

Can anyone else make this work? If I goto the videos add-on and goto the youtube video addon these playlists work... but they will not work in PSTVHuh help....

I've noticed a channel logo bug with the latest release - haven't seen anything here yet.
If I type in channel from the keypad (or my remote), the channel changes but the logo stays the same. If I do channel up/down, the logo changes with the channel - likewise if I select from the OSD TV Guide. But if I manually enter a channel number to change to, the logo stays.
Anyone else?

how can I get pstvl to stop recscanning my live streams everything time it starts

You can't that's how it builds the channels. You can set it on background loading so it will play the first channel while the others load.

Tested this out this morning as well. Can confirm. If you channel up/down the logo changes as expected but if you input a channel number the logo from the previous channel stays on the new channel until you channel up/down again.

Also noticed that the YouTube thumbnails no longer seem to display on the EPG with either the original YouTube addon or Bromix's. Just curious if this is a bug in my setup or if others can confirm this as well.

On the upside, the YouTube videos are back to playing perfectly since the update.

Luna,

This may be a bug...

After I have all my hdhomerun streams correctly setup and working in PTVL. PTVL inserts the following in the stream file

/home/xbmc/.xbmc/addons/script.pseudotv.live-master/resources/images/PTVL_INTRO.mp4

which in itself is not the problem. The problem is that the stream file information is deleted.

hdhomerun://10338282-0/tuner0?channel=8vsb:653000000&program=3

I just check all of my streams and they have PTVL_INTRO line. This was not in the files when they were generated.

The deletion of the stream info does not happen all the time, but on occasion I have to go back and check the stream files and re-insert the information.

This was fixed a while back, should be included in build 5.6d... Thanks for info

Sounds good.

Thanks for the quick reply, great work as always.

RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - Kokonutcreme - 2014-12-14

This could be a symptom that PseudoTV isn't yet fully compatible with Helix.

Is anyone else running Helix RC 3 and PseudoTV 5.6D experiencing latency when scrolling through EPG eg. when I first launch EPG, the first six channels appear, when I start to scroll up or down, there's a pause of about 30secs and then the display refreshes to show the next couple of channels. It's almost like it's still building the channel listing, however after cycling through all the channels to return to the start, the behaviour continues like nothing has been cached.

It's quite possible that I've enabled/disabled a config setting that is causing this behaviour but it only started after upgrading to Helix and I know that this add-on hasn't yet been fully updated for Helix.

V.5.6d wasn't pushed yet... But yes, there is a lag in the EPG only on helix. I could not find a culprit in my code, so it may be a bug with helix?

I was wondering if anyone since yesterday are having issues with the ustvnow 9.9.9. addon...I have been using it for months and yesterday all seven channels only plays for about 10 seconds and then cuts off! I have an accout with them since may_2014 and never had a problem...just wondering if its on there end or addon isssue.

Apologies, I meant to write 0.56c, I suspected the bug was with Helix as I hadn't changed my config after upgrading, running same config on another machine with Gotham and it behaves as expected.

Change False to True in this line

<setting id="Channel_89_changed" value="False" />

This will force to regenerate the channel from the Playlist

BTW the value in

<setting id="Channel_89_rule_1_opt_1" value="User Playlist" />

can be the playlist name that you decide...

Scratching my head again Just went out and purchased a WDMycloud 4 tera copied all my media over gave it a static IP using SMB network XBMC Gotham works great see's all the media and plays it fine...... But when I start up PTVL and run scan it picks up only 1 to 8 channels off my Cloud.
When I had a usb hard drive hooked up I used to have over 80 channels

Anyone else come across this ?

Oh its on a Android Box Gotham 13.1
