Not sure if I understand you correctly but if I do than this should do it:

Create four plugin type channels in in-app manager. For each of it select your NSBC addon, then click "browse" button to select the sub category and choose a different category for each.

This won't work, as the Live events are stream URLS, if i make a new channel based on what is playing live now, the channel will be broken when the event is over. These are not continuous live streams ALA HDomerun. Think of it like a directory of files that is constantly changing, but each file needs its own channel. I'm unsure how to do this with the available tools.

Allow me to try to Explain better:

Sports 1 - 8 are all different streams events with different URLS occuring at different times

Say sports 1-5 Happen from 12:00 - 3:00 and sports 6-8 Happen from 3:00-6:00

They will appear and leave the live events folder from the plugin as they air.

I would like a way to say have 5 reserved chaannels such that

from 12:00 - 3:00 we have
Channel 1: Sport 1
Channel 2: Sport 2
Channel 3: Sport 3
Channel 4: Sport 4
Channel 5: Sport 5

Nothing has to show on the EPG beyond 3:00, We don't know for sure the events that are to air.
Then at 3:00 or perhaps earlier the bacgroud library update occurs, and sees that the live events in the plugin have changed. So we use the same channels but now they will play something else.
from 3:00 - 6:00
Channel1: Sport 6
Channel2: Sport 7
Channel3: Sport 8
Channel4: can be blank? or duplicate?
Channel5: "" ""

I haven't seen any precedent of this anywhere

Did he share info on what his issue is?
Did he provided any feedback on how I can improve this plugin?

Or did he come here to complain!

Im willing to help those who provided logs and offer constructive suggestions... anything else is nothing more then a waste of time. It Does little to remedy any problems.

You should only post if you are looking for a solution, not complaining!

My track record on this topic speaks for itself.

Provide a log, gets instant fix.
Articulate a problem or a feature request, it gets added.
Dont post a log or complain, be ignored!
luna i'm still having issues with the in app hanging at 90%. LOG: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5wesor5pyly0ggx/AAC4ObbIjTTgqqXCZgGdOLIRa?dl=0

LOL today is just one of those days...
I already answered your question, right under your post! http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=169032&pid=1922168#pid1922168

I'm tapping out, i'll push code and comment on twitter... enjoy!! lots of features coming soon!

I followed your instructions the first time the in app opened after closing it anytime I try to get back into the in app it just hangs at 90‰

Is that also in the default skin? some of those options look cool and i want to test them. I have hit every key on my keyboard i think and i dont get any menu like that

When you don't know something about PTVL you should:

Read Changelogs
Read Twitter Posts
Read First Three Forum Posts
Read README @ Github

Thanks for pointing me in the right place. After tracking down it was called On now, I was able to search the fourm post for the answer (Press info and then the left arrow key/button).

Yes you did provide a lot of info and I'm thankful for that otherwise I would have been lost!

If it's not enough that spend my free time adding features and coding, i'm expected to provide each of you one-on-one help, and to write a bible sized guide on how to use this... do you think thats fair?
I do get your point, but for beginners its hard to get into a script like this without an extended guide...

Help including details, logs... something more constructive than "I give up, going to use another plugin" honestly what's the point of a post like that?
What can I say? I tried almost everything by myself. I spent the last week playing around with your script.

BUT
You wrote (before editing your post) how hard I might have tried to find the answer to my question, that it got answered a year ago and that you already implemented my request and that I should kinda open my eyes.
I'm sorry but I did everything you requested before asking and non of your (in your post deleted) suggestions are the one I'm looking for. Maybe I was not completely clear or I'm extremely blind but the only thing I can do in Misc or through channel advanced settings is turn BCTs completely on or off for all channels or for one in particular. My request was going further to the point where I can turn all three B, C or T individually on/off per advanced settings for one particular channel...
So let's say I have a channel called "comedy tv shows" and I want it to play Bumpers and Commercials but NO Trailers in-between episodes.
I was simply asking if there might be a way to implement an advanced channel setting option so enable/disable B, C and T per channel each by itself and not only the option to enable or disable all or non of them...
I hope that was more clear then before (again please excuse me but I'm not a native speaker so it's sometimes not as easy as in my own language to express what I'm trying to say).
If I might have missed an option that lets me do that I'm really really sorry for going on your nerv with that and someone might point me in the right direction so Luna is not getting any more upset with me.

For now this will be my last post in here, I feel like I might have overstepped a boundary. I'm looking forward to a finished product and I'm very sorry if I might have destroyed a peaceful evening here.

@BugRaider84 bumpers are added to channels with matching folders and channel names. Don't want bumpers make sure there is no folder with the same channel name.

Your settinngs2.xml file is corrupt or it has incorrect configurations in it... or it's trying to access media that is unavailable, corrupt etc. Re autotune to build a new settings2.xml

(2015-02-11, 02:04)bry- Wrote: @BugRaider84 bumpers are added to channels with matching folders and channel names. Don't want bumpers make sure there is no folder with the same channel name.

right, I don't know how to explain that any different so I'm going for an extended explanation now:

We have:
Bumpers (with matching folders/channel names)
Commercials (in an additional folder)
Trailers (again in an additional folder)

Now lets say I have these three channels:
TV Shows
Movies
Mixed

For the channel "TV Shows" I want to show only Bumpers and Commercials in-between episodes
For the channel "Movies" I want all three (B, C & T) running in-between videos
For the channel "Mixed" I only want to show Commercials

As far as I figured out there is no way to set it up like that and that would have been my request. I can't make it any more clear than that

If I go to Misc in Settings I can only enable or disable BCTs, so all three of them for all channels
If I go to settings - BCTs I can enable/disable all three of them on its own but if I disable one of them (for example "Trailers") no channel will be showing Trailers at all...
If I go to Setting - Channel Configuration - "TV Shows" channel - Advanced Channel Rules there is only the option Include/Exclude BCTs

Did I miss anything?

This is not possible with PTVL. You switch between live channels by switching channels, you don't mix live channels together into a single channel.

Not possible at the moment. You could mix them into channels, but they will appear shuffled in at random like any other media. They won't run between shows or in the numbers you want.

Bumpers are only for tv shows and mixed. Not movies

Are you certain this is true? I'm not physically changing the channel on a tv tuner, this isn't Live TV like OTA, but online streams. Additionally Luna just said "this plugin does almost all of what you want and are asking"

Because in my experience I have seen Live content mixed into the same channel.
For example the way the Twitch.TV plugin from the community list currently works will populate a channel with the featured streamer. This streamer is different every few hours. So any time you pull up PTVL the channel displays a different live stream. This is essentially what i need, but multiple events at the same time which are all unique. Also i don't see why it wouldn't be possible anyway, doesn't PTVL just handle the strm regardless of whether it is live or not? *redacted*

As far as i'm aware using USTV Now live stream, as intended as a Live TV CH type, it's not possible to cut into it with other streams? Live TV and Internet TV ch types are non stop 24/7 streams. You can't add bumpers ect to them. I dont fully get what you're trying to do, but i would imagine you could use the PTVL Libarary plugin thing to create .strms from the plugin you're talking about, and then using them .strms to mix into any other streams or files you want on a normal channel type.
