When it happens I can't change channels, access the guide, or even exit PTVL.

I've had the same issues sometimes with regular channels, using helix, I've been running Gotham on an external hard drive the past couple days and no issues at all so I don't know if that's a helix issue, I'm running Windows 8.1

I thought I remember Luna saying something about this and the need to change something in one of the settings file, but I can't find it.

So after several fresh installs of 0.5.8E with the same broken problem, I reverted back to a previous version and the problem is gone. It works as expected once again, so I think this confirms a bug in the latest version. For the record, I am using a CoBox with openelec.

RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - pc1975 - 2015-02-16

This may seem live a very strange question, but is there any way I can force "Listing Unavailable"? I did this once before, completely by accident, and it forced my old Raspberry Pi model B to load the channels really quickly.

I know that this defeats the purpose of having a guide in the first place, but the reason that I ask is because I built a Raspberry Pi for my elderly mother, and she does not use the EPG ever, at all, she never used the EPG on her old cable box, either. She understands "Channel Up, Channel Down" and that's it. Her setup is a Rpi Model B, and only the USTV now channels, it is a paid account, so it loads 28 channels, which takes around 20-ish minutes. It's generally not a problem because she just leaves the Rpi running on PTVL 24/7, but on the occasional reboot,I get the impatient old-person phone call "It's not working!".

So, if there's a trick to force PTVL to not load EPG data, that would be awesome...or was it just a one time glitch that I encountered?

Thanks!

***Edit***
Please disregard this question, I found that if I delete my xmltv file and then launch PTVL, it loads the channels exactly how I need them to for her.

I think it's in here:

Under the Skin information, there's a tweak that might fix it.

The correct way to do this, is to define the USTVnow channels as Internet TV style channels NOT Live TV. It will not try and grab an EPG and create them instantly.

Hello Lunatix and thank you for this add-on. I hope i am posting correctly. This is my 1st so i apologize if i have missed the correct location.

I am having a problem when executing the PSTVL add-on. It starts to autotune and then freezes at 5%. Any help would be greatly appreciated. i have posted my log attached.

I am also very willing to make a donation if I can get it going.

Thanks again

You need to edit your post and remove your log extract. Then put it on pastebin or similar and post the url here instead.

Lunatixz / anyone

I've just upgraded from PSTV to PSTVL and I'm impressed with the improvements. However, my missus is going crazy because whenever she presses STOP on her phone remote app (XBMC Remote Free) it returns to the Home screen and then locks up. Pressing the BACK key takes us to the quit menu as we want.

For info - we're running Kodibuntu 14.04.1

Here's the log http://pastebin.com/3MyN8CZV

please note : I have the knowledge of a Noob even though I should know better by now.

Any help would be gratefully received (she's not happy with me)

Hey, is there some way to stop PTVL from auto updating? I don't see an option. I rolled back to a previous version as the latest one isn't working for me, but it updated itself and now it's not working again. Sad

Post a log to get your issue fixed. Only current version is supported. If you look at Lunatixz post history you will notice if there is an issue and it is identified in a log file it will be fixed in the next version.

RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - tommymsw - 2015-02-17

Yea I know bry-... But I have been wrestling with this for the last 48 hours and I am spent. I have posted logs and submitted the crash reports via the PTVL addon. I am not looking for "support" for the newest or previous versions. The newest version does not work for me, the previous one does, so I am content to just use the previous version. You can't ask me to deal with my system not working for however long it takes to fix the issue. You know how much that stinks... Once you have PTVL, you can't live without it. lol I just want to stop it from updating. Smile

I just want to chill out and watch some TV for a bit Smile

[EDIT]

I've got it figured out now. Smile

How about you post the solution.

He just blocked updates to the plugin in Kodi, not the issue with PTVL.

Press C on the keyboard while over the addon, then turn off auto updates.
