RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - tommymsw - 2015-02-18

For the record, the autotune does not add ustv OR FTV favorites. They both added fine in the last version, so it may be a problem with PTVL or changes made in both FTV and ustv addons. It looks as though PTVL is unable to find the Channel ID for the FTV shows. It asked me to manually locate them when autotuning, but I was unable to locate them.

{EDIT}
If I manually add the FTV channels as "Internet TV" and NOT "Live TV" as autotune does, the channels work (although without epg obviously).

RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - Dec64 - 2015-02-18

It just sounds like there is an issue with the XMLTV Service, a few users posted earlier that they may be having an issue with it. I can't say myself as I do not use it. If they work as Internet TV then the only change with Live TV is the loading of the XMLTV file.

I'll give it a quick go on my end and see if its a user error or something bigger.

--Yep works ok for me

I just finished setting up the latest version of kodi on my android box and ustv seems to be working fine now

Thx luna, yes ustvnow epg service is working again.

Works for me now also,

Anybody know how to get PTVL to pull the FTV epg? If I autotune FTV, it fails and asks me to specify the ID manually, but I can't find it. When I look on the ftvguide.xml in the PTVL folder, it seems to only have an EPG for 5 channels. (even tried deleting it to refresh). I can see the "now playing" and "Next show" if watching from FTV and I am sure that I could see the EPG for FTV before on PTVL.

Hey guys. I was reinstalling my PTVL from scratch since it never ran right since the last update. I figured it was something with my setup since no one else was really complaining about it. So, long story short, I have a clean install and I prefer to manually configure my channels. I click open channel configuration, click Custom Playlist and try to push the down button on my remote but it doesn't respond. It only clicks left and right while in the Open Channel Configuration section.

I'm running AFTV with PTVL 0.5.8e. Debug log...

Any help would be terrific. Thanks!

Lets get the nonsense outta the way, yes I've tried uninstalling and deleting the folders within my userdata and reinstalling. So everything was working fine until silly me got to experimenting and now when I press enter to open my EPG all I get is a black screen with the video playing in the background, if i press esc i can see the video again but pseudotv gets disabled and it just plays like a regular video without the channel changing options. No idea how I did this, no idea how to fix it, any ideas would be awesome. Thanks.

You'll need to post a debug log so that Luna can see what is happening.

Figured it out on my own, the skin I was using became incompatible after the last update. Shoulda really checked that first. Oh Well.

Sorry if this is off topic or if this has been addressed. After painfully spending the last couple days figuring everything out and running into a ton of crashes, I think I for the most part I am now in the clear. The only issue that I am still running in to is if I hit the stop button while a stream is playing. PseudoTV Live appears to stop but it doesn't quit and Kodi brings me to the home screen but I can't do anything. I hear clicking like I'm moving around the menu but nothing gets highlighted. I assume you are not supposed to hit stop button but sometimes I accidentally hit the button just from old habits. Is there a way to get control back without force quitting Kodi? If this is the normal behavior can I request a feature that makes the stop button simply pause the stream or bring up the quit dialog for PTVL.

Just change channels and you will have control again.

Luna should really consider adding arrows to move channels around in the channel manager.

Also, does anyone know what determines whether PTVL autotunes all 30 USTVNOW channels? I am only getting the basics to autotune, but yesterday it did them all.

Edit: It only autotunes the channels you have access to. If you want all of them for USTVNOW you need to remove your login info (unless you are paying for all 30 channels).

I am trying to manually build my channels with the new channel manager, but adding donor channels takes forever since to even bring up the donor list takes 15-20 minutes each time.... any suggestions? The only thing I can think of is if Luna made it cache the channels so you didn't need to load the full list every single time.

Enable override stream check.

Worked, thanks!!!

Also, for those having channel icons not showing up, peppy pointed out to me that it creates a space before the name in the ptvl manager. Either add a space to your icon file name or remove the space from within Kodi in the manager.

CRAP!!!!! After messing with this for a few days, I figured, what the hell, I'll donate to Luna. Clearly he put in a lot of work and is always really helpful. And what the heck? I can also check out the donor options.

So I donated and went to send him the PM he requires... and NO! You can't send him a PM because I am blocked! lol He must have EVERYBODY blocked? It's ok because I am happy to just donate anyway, but he should take that info off the main page if there is no way to contact him.

Ya he's sort of strange that way.

But why tell people to PM you after you donate, if people can't PM you. I know he didn't put ME on his ignore list as I've never PM'd him before. I've actually never PM'd anybody! lol He must just have it set so nobody can PM him? I don't really know if you can block anybody? As I am not familiar with how PM works. At any rate, he should change the front page, that's probably going to make people angry.

OR... he could just open a FREE email account that is SOLELY for people to contact after donating. Then he does't have to sift through a bunch of junk. HE can even put a filter on it so only emails with "donation" in the subject go through.
