If been setting up my live channels through trial and error at the moment. Just an idea but use pvr backend in Kodi and selecting pvr as your xmltv source in PseudoTV Live. I believe this stop PseudoTV parsing the data from scratch and relies on the pvr for this function. It seems to have worked for me, but like I say it's trial and error.

The author added the change listed on the 1st page, but it's still bringing up the control bar so you can't change channels and bring up the guide.

I want to report a bug.
In the last 2 versions of pseudotv live it ignores tv shows with name that is not in English (I use Hebrew for this example).
The problem is with kodi playlist channels & with a channels based on a single tv show that it's name is with non english characters.
When the script start it's just skip those channels. It worked ok before.
I used pseudotv live on linux, last version from repository.

OK. I understand the process. But how do I get what I want into the library. For example when I add the hbo playlist Luna provides, it does not find anything.

When you are in the playlists view of Kodi and you can see all the playlists in the directory, if you bring up the context menu and choose edit playlist that will show you what the playlist is looking for. A few of the playlists that Lunatixz has for certain channels are actually looking for TV shows from that channel. For a HBO channel, the best suggestion is set the smart playlist using Episodes, and for Find Items where, make sure to set to 'Studio' and 'is' is selected and for 'Browse' browse to HBO, that is if you have HBO studio shows in your library. The Playlist options you can play around with, but that should get you a smart playlist setup for HBO studio shows. I hope that helps.

Hello Luna, I am curious if it is possible for me to add a password protect string on the plugin itself. I have a large family and I mainly use the EPG for porn. I want to protect against the kids accidentally loading it up and the wife so creating alternate profiles is out of the question.

Hi Luna, sorry for the newbie question but I couldn't find the answer to this anywhere.
Does this add-on works on any skin that kodi supported or does the skin also has to support PseudoTV Live?
The reason I asked is because I was able to bring up the EPG by hitting the "Enter" key when using Confuent skin.
But after I changed to Black Glass Nova, trying to bring up the EPG will resulted in a black screen. I have to hit "Stop" on my remote then pressed "Back" to get out the that black screen. The video will resume but out of PseudoTV mode (meaning I can't press up and down to change the channel).
So does the skin have to support PseudoTV Live? In my case Black Glass Nova. Thank you for a great add-on.

I wanted to post this example for you guys... to give you an idea of what's possible with PseudoTV Live. One thing my wife misses is her diy/HGTV/Travel channel shows after we cut the cord.
Below is an example how Interleaving can pool multiple plugin sources to create one channel "HGTV".
Setup is pretty basic channel 223, is the main channel "HGTV" the rest of the channels don't play and are hidden from the EPG, they aggregate media to channel 223 using interleaving.
The configuration below was assembled using the in-app channel manager.

Channel 223, setup to play popular diy shows:
advanced rules:
channel name 'HGTV'
interleaving channels:
823
824
825
826
827
828

Channel 823-828, various plugin sources.
advanced rules: Dont play channel (hides channel from EPG).
