installing xbmc on a sony bravia tv - hollander1985 - 2013-07-18 Good afternoon, Is it possible to install xbmc on a sony bravia tv? and if it is possible how do i do that? RE: installing xbmc on a sony bravia tv - Ned Scott - 2013-07-18 XBMC, like all applications, needs an operating system in order to run. XBMC itself is not an operating system. XBMC currently runs on Android, iOS, Linux (various Linux-based OSes, that is), Mac OS X, and Windows. Does the Sony Bravia TVs run one of those OSes? No. What most people do is buy a small box, either "PC based" or now "ARM based" (think Android in a set-top-box), and connect those to their TVs. These small boxes typically run from $100 USD to $500 USD, depending on what you want it to do.
