taffy media center with xbmc running on linux - dang107 - 2013-08-15

Have anyone tried this box called taffy media center?
http://taffymc.com/
This box has similar hardware specification with pivos xios but it has optical port for audio. but is has a cheap-looking remote control.

Piece of crap. The whole point is so I can stream to my non-HD tv's through DLNA using the composite A/V jack on the box. But when I use the A/V output with the cable that came in the box, there is no signal on the tv. HDMI works perfectly, but no A/V. I e-mailed [email protected] and was told that the TMC linux edition boxes don't support A/V, just the re-branded MX boxes. What crap is this? Why would you advertise and sell a box with A/V out, and ship it with A/V cables if it doesn't support A/V? The whole reason for a box like this so I can watch stuff from my media server on my older tv's in the house. My only tv with HDMI already is a SmartTV and doesn't need any help streaming from the network or internet.
