In the interest of getting a meta service to add support for spine art images, I have opened a request on themoviedb forum.

ideas where already floating there and imo it's a way better place since quality is much higher in general as it's controlled

There's no biased to be had. TMDB simply isn't set up for the multiple types of additional movie art that many people like to use, which is one of the reasons that fanart.tv came to be in the first place. They're made to work together.
