Remote - ruckuspwb - 2013-09-22

I can't get my remote app to connect with my mac air. It sees it ok, but won't actually connect.

RE: Remote - Ned Scott - 2013-09-22

Which one?

RE: Remote - ruckuspwb - 2013-09-22

Ipad and Iphone app (XBMC) and Mac Air OSX Version 10.8.4 build 12E55 XBMC media center.

RE: Remote - Ned Scott - 2013-09-23

I assume you mean the official one made by joethefox. There is a recent update that fixes a connection issue that I just noticed today. Maybe that fixes your issue too? If not, let us know.

RE: Remote - ruckuspwb - 2013-09-23

How do I find the update? Is it for the app or for XBMC itself?

RE: Remote - Ned Scott - 2013-09-23

For the iOS app.

RE: Remote - ruckuspwb - 2013-09-24

No. It didn't fix it.

RE: Remote - Ned Scott - 2013-09-24

Maybe double check what the username and password settings are? Also the port settings. All should be found under:

XBMC -> Settings -> Services -> Webserver

Also, be sure to enable:

XBMC -> Settings -> Services -> Remote control -> Allow programs on other systems to control XBMC

RE: Remote - ruckuspwb - 2013-09-26

Thanks. I wish that worked. Spent the last 30 minutes trying to find anything out of the ordinary. All is as you put in your last thread. My remotes will work on my friends XBMC. Just not mine. I hate to delete the program from my mac air and reinstall it, but maybe that is the answer?
