I updated to the OpenElec Helix beta and now the widgets (Recently Added etc) don't work. The content is stored locally. I understand that it's a new version and all but is there a fix at the moment please? Thanks!

Not that I'm aware of. Based on previous releases, I doubt the addon will be updated until a final release has been pushed.
Either way you'd be better asking in the skin widgets thread.

i think it is an issue with the widget add-on, i am experimenting with it now as my modded skin has stopped working also but my knowledge is limited to try and error

I don't know if that's only for addons but for movies or tv shows all it does it reload the home screen.

Thanks for your work. I merged in my edits from Gotham and it is coming along.
I had a problem with "customize main menu". When you go into this and then go to edit submenus (CustomSub6001.xml ...) the subbmenu items in the left aren't laid out right. I edited IncludesMenuCustom.xml layout posx entries in lines
330 =>280 (was 330)
367 =>130 (was 280)
378 =>280 (was 330)
421 =>130 (was 280)
(I think that is the window on the left and the layout and focused layout of the label controls in it.) I don't know if that is all that needs to be done but it now is showing the submnenu labels for me -- originally the labels were all too far to the right and were mostly covered by the center window.
That's what I've found so far. Probably should start a new thread for Helix mods for MQ5.
Update. Found some more problems. MQ5 uses Window IDs 621-625 and these are now reserved in Helix for radio stuff. Need to be changed to unused values (I think 637-641 will work).

I also noticed when trying to add views to movies, picture, etc. it doesn't function and locks system.

looking good so far although only a quick once over most things i use, will double check it over a couple of tweaks i was wanting to do and update again if needed

@scott967 Massive thanks for the helix update and combining all the fixes etc. I've come across 1 bug so far, the "Play Options" menu doesn't automatically disappear once a movie starts, see screenshot below, you have to manually clear it.

I have the "Right List" view for "Movies" but when I go into that section the text where the movie titles should be is blank.
