Starting from scratch without losing my databases? - LEDFan - 2014-01-23

Just a simple question, I have installed plenty od addons when I as under Eden, then I have updated to Frodo, got a few problems iwth addons compatibility, etc. Now I'm trying to get things working witth an addon and it's really hard to achieve since I get many errors.

I just want to know if I can uninstall xbmc and start from scratch without losing my databases? Must I save my databases and copy them in my userdata folder after reinstalling xbmc?

I also have nfo files for all my movies, series and music. Would xbmc after reinstalling it rebuild my databases exactly like what I have now?

See where your userdata folder (wiki) is, go one folder up and delete the "addons" folder. Restart XBMC and you will only have the default add-ons, which will soon ask to update.
