Video playback issues - kempy1000 - 2014-02-03 Hello, Im sure this has been fixed before but due to my inability to describe it Im struggling to find a solution. On my xbmc setup when I play videos recently anything in an MKV h264 source seems to have an issue. (Mostly 1080p at ~5000Kps some are however 720p at again ~5000Kps) The bottom 1/3 of the video seems to detach from the top 2/3 like its lagged behind or something. A line appears (not always straight) and the top 2/3 carries on but the bottom 1/3 seems to stay maybe a few frames behind. Can anyone point me towards what this maybe called? System is an Asrock ION330HT - Intel Atom 330 - Nvidia ION with 4gb RAM (512mb allocated to video) Thanks RE: Video playback issues - Kib - 2014-02-06 It sounds like screen tearing because vsync is disabled. This happens because the new frames are presented to the screen before it has finished drawing the last one. Http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_tearing |
