Okay, what you are saying is I can't use the menu to specify it to play these filetypes and have to go back to my mediaconfig again?Smile

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - oldpoem - 2015-12-03

I'm not 100% sure about internal filters config since I'm not using it. As I said it just a preset that get overwrite every new build release.

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Bjur - 2015-12-03

Thanks oldpoem. And last question if updating to latest build from wanilton, should the latest Madvr be safe to install also?

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - oldpoem - 2015-12-03

0.89.17 works fine on my system. Unless drastic changes in madvr I think it's gonna be ok to upgrade for a while. Just that new features and option won't show up in GUI.

Add multi-device support and cheaper than retail prices, and many people would buy movies rather than pirate them. The Kaleidoscope store is one such option for uncompressed Blu-rays, but you have to use Kaleidoscope. I want to buy movies like songs, where I can play back media on any compatible MKV player. You risk pirating, but many people would want the security of buying from a trusted source. It is just a matter pricing the content correctly.

When fiber optic Internet is more common and large storage is cheap, this would be my preferred means of buying and watching movie and TV shows. Options like the iTunes Store are not good enough. Compression is too high and being tethered to iTunes is too limiting.
agreed. I never ever gonna buy a digital copy of a movie for the same or at times even a higher price than the blu-ray, while the digital copy has a much much worse picture and sound quality in addition. Even renting movies on Prime or GooglePlay is much more expensive then renting the blu-ray and have it shipped to your home. So there is no wonder that movie/tv-show streaming is not that popular and likely never will be if they don't adjust the prices. For 5€ I can either rent one movie in "HD" and have to finish it within 2 days or get 2 blu-rays delivered to my home and can finish them in one month - guess what I do.

I guess you download illegal copies off internet? Tongue

That's a rather wild assumption to make, considering he already quotes his source - perhaps a little more comprehension required next time, before engaging figures to type.

It resides in dsplayer folder in kodi main folder. Also it's not adviced to edit it since it would get overwrite everytime you upgrade build.

Custom mediaconfig files is still the way to go if you know how to manage it.

Also you need to setup some software to deal with drm like anydvdhd or makemkv. DSPlayer or Kodi in general doesn't support encrypted disc playback natively.

oldpoem ma man, if I were to install that uhh. kwai codec pack with madVR included in it - there's an "ultra" preset. I somewhat know what I'm doing but still, I don't want to mess too much with the scaling algorithms and such.. And presentation and so on and so on. You say you don't use the internal filters. If I install kwai codec pack and picked ultra, would I then be able to use that madVR and the settings that KCP set instead of the internal? And how do I disable that? :0 I wasn't aware it would get overwritten each time I install a new Kodi DS release. Anyways, if you know and want to explain or if you can send me to a place where they know? Cause I dunno how to not use the internal filters after they were implemented. What I want to do is basically just let KCP set up LAV, madVR and possibly reclock and then just parse it all to Kodi DSplayer as per usual with those settings. I think you know KCP but if not here's a link: http://haruhichan.com/forum/showthread.php?7545-KCP-Kawaii-Codec-Pack

Anyways, thanks.

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - SALAMINOMACHOS - 2015-12-03

I face a very serious problem and i need your help

Yesterday at 12:44 @ Wanilton gave us a new update of Jarvis/DsPlayer
The installation was successful , and everything was OK
This morning i tried to run Kodi/DsPlayer but nothing opened
I tried to run the player , either with remote control or through Kodi.exe
Nothing again
I tried to uninstall the program either with the Win7 Uninstall programs , or through CCleaner , but again nothing
It looks like it needs to format the C:/
I am not saying that Wanilton gave a faulty update

Can you give a solution except the format?
FYI all the programs om the C:/ , run normally
Thanks for your arrention

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Wanilton - 2015-12-03

@SALAMINOMACHOS, send me credentials teamviewer via private message, I will check whats happen...
PS: Working again, something block use, I see madvr run without kodi running, when close, all work ok. He´s testing now.

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - danjames92 - 2015-12-03

Anyone had any luck using PleXBMC with KodiDSPlayer? Works fine with internal filters but I'll be damned if I can get it working with media filters.

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - SALAMINOMACHOS - 2015-12-03

Finally again with the help by Wanilton through TeamViewer , he solved the problem
But he could not find what caused the problem
Maybe the problem was Avast because when he deactivated the avast , then he could reinstall the Kodi
Wanilton thanks again

I download a lot of illegal copies of many things. But I still buy content, too. If it was cheaper and easier to do, I'd probably buy everything. The ignorant people working in the DRM business are losing money, not gaining it.
