Big up to all devs for all those wonderfull sofwares.
Interesting! What scripts (add-ons) are you using to handle the emulation portion of Kodi? The skin is AeonMQ, right?

Hi. First of all, thank you for this great build, that solved a huge problem I had with the regular Kodi player.

A lot is different and though I figured most of the changes out, I can't get around this one. I do the audio passthrough via SPDIF so there is no problem with DTSHD since it only passes through the DTS core. So, if I check all settings in the DSPlayer audio filters to bitstream, I have no audio when playing Dolby TrueHD sound and I understand that. But if I uncheck bitstreaming for TrueHD, the audio I receive on my sound system is Stereo instead of AC3 5.1.
In the regular Kodi build under system - audio - settings I just checked the passthrough option "convert to AC3" so TrueHD only was downconverted while everything else was passed through as intended. In this build this option doesn't seem to do anything since it must be controled by the audio filters of the DSPlayer.

Is there a way I could get back again my downconversion from TrueHD only to AC3 5.1?

Apparently you need to manually select the AC3 core as the audio track. In any case, I think asking in that thread might be helpful.

I assume you are using Sanear or Reclock?

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - ryu87 - 2017-02-16

Well, that is not possible because I removed the extra AC3 track from all my videos containing TrueHD. As I already wrote, the regular Kodi player did some kind of converting so I didn't need the extra AC3 track.

That is what I meant: Enable Dolby Digital transcoding. This option has no effekt using the filters of the DSPlayer.
Same goes for Dolby Digital Plus. My sound system can't decode it so the DSPlayer audio decoder will only send stereo audio like it does with TrueHD.

@warner306: No, I don't use any of them, nor any other audio addon.

Try Sanear or ReClock.

Tried to install Sanear but installation from zip folder failes every time. Installed ReClock and followed this guide for configuration: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=222576
No matter how i configure it, I can't get any audio to play.

Did you go: rightclick -> Run as administrator -> install.bat when installing Sanear?

Also, change the device in ReClock. The guide says use the default device.

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Romkilla - 2017-02-17

Hello, i wanted to move my tv anime folder to a different location so i made a backup of my video library folowing the how to official guide.

Everything is fine with my library, posters, watch & resume. The only issue i have and it's a big one, DSPlayer is broken, not possible to read the files. Before the Player was working fine.

Anyone with a fix?

Thanks

SOLVED: nfs file sharing not compatible with lav-filters.

I'm using BigBox/Launchbox, it's independent from kodi. Connected to kodi with a launch script.

Please use Pastebin or xbmclogs.

Thats exactly how I configured my ReClock Settings. I guess I need to check "use AC3 encoding" too, for my TrueHD sound to be transcoded to AC3. However, lots of sound formats are not working with these settings. Now in ReClock I set everything to direct sound and chose the Realtek digital sound output (SPDIF) and deactivated the allowance for bitstreaming. At least Dolby Digital Plus is now outputed as regular AC3 but I haven't accomplished the same for Dolby TrueHD. It's either no sound at all or stereo. Problem: normal AC3 is shown as AC3 on my sound system but there is just no sound.

For Sanear, the one I got has no install.bat when I unzip it. Only a register.bat and an unregister.bat. After registration I can select it as renderer in Kodi, but where do I configure it? The sound is always just output to my headphones which are my default device.

Isn't there some way to let video be decoded by the built in DSPlayers decoders and the audio by Kodis default decoders? With the regular Kodi version at least audio works as intended: everything passed through except TrueHD and DD+ which are transcoded to DD.

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - ashlar - 2017-02-17

ryu87, you could try inserting AC3filter as an extra filter for files with TrueHD audio tracks and have it accomplish what you need.
http://www.ac3filter.net/wiki/AC3Filter:Main_page#SPDIF

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - ryu87 - 2017-02-17

I tried that before. Turns out I didn't realize I have to download and install AC3filter. I thought it was already integrated somehow.
Now I have downloaded and configured it and set as external filter and everything works like it should.
Thank you ashlar.
