madVR v0.92.0

* added new "display modes" -> "custom modes" settings tab
* added support for native D3D11 DXVA hardware decoding (needs nightly LAV)
* added support for outputting 10bit in fullscreen windowed mode (win10)
* added optimized "let madVR decide" HDR configuration option
* added support for AMD's private HDR switching API
* added workaround for make Nvidia's private HDR switching API work better
* added full-size EDID block reading (256 bytes instead of just 128)
* added extended EDID parsing
* improved frame drop/repeat estimates for xx/1.001 hz modes
* fixed: deinterlacing of P010 software decoded videos was broken

Yeah, so lots of changes in the new version of Madvr, and the latest Lav Video adds support for D3D11 Hardware decoding.

Having an issue with stored audio filter settings for LAV Audio on my second profile on Kodi DSPlayer 17.3. Settings for bitsreaming formats are not being stored and/or recalled when selected in the Kodi interface or the LAV Audio interface. It works great for my primary Kodi profile, but not for the second profile. Anyone else have this issue?

I will likely take a look at the source and see if I can create a fix this weekend, but it would be great if there was a fix already available.

DSPlayer definitely gets my vote for the best Kodi experience!

Some addons I use need libwidevine from now on and thus kodi dsplayer 17.3 won't cut it. Sad

Anyone have an idea if it's possible to merge dsplayer code to kodi-agile? Me.. I'm way too stupid for even attempting to do it.

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - MKANET - 2017-08-22

When I use the default DSPlayer audio renderer, Internal Audio Renderer (Sanear), I get no sound during media playback. I have to switch back to "DirectShow Realtek High Definition Audio (Optical)" as my audio renderer for it to work. Is there something I need to do in order to get Sanear to work? Do I need to manually install it or configure it? I don't use HDMI audio.

Thanks in advance!

Just in case u passed this out:
Did u try to go to the tray while a movie is playing and configure it there first (as it used to happen with madVR time ago) ?

Hmm... I don't see a Sanear tray icon during movie playback. Do I need to manually install it?

Thanks

hi! I just get a problem
i find some folders in the DSplayer, but i do not find anything in the video player
i just want to ask: where is the Configuration file for the Videoplayer just like the thing in the DSplayer (folders) [i saw lot of thing in it]
i also know tah DSplayer is the Default player ,but it can not hold the vp9(i mean is that when i play the vp9 video ,the DSplayer can not Hardware acceleration ,and [by the way , output is NVIDIA(native) and i also check the vp9 point],Rendering Method is the EVR[because i put a madVR's instrall file and add it to my system successfully,so i can use the EVR , not only the madVR])

In Kodi Settings/player/Dsplayer in Audio Renderer I have Internal Audio Renderer (Sanear). Right after it, I have 4 options called Device, Exclusive Mode, Allow Bitstreaming, and Stereo Crossfeed, all of them On/Off. Did u try these ones to see if u get any sound?

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - MKANET - 2017-08-24

Thank you! The only thing I had to do was disable Exclusive mode. As soon as I did that, immediately I could hear audio. is there anything else I need to do in order to take advantage of Sanear (over the default Win10 audio renderer)?

Hello all

I have a Win laptop and is still on DSPlayer 15.0 Isengard Final - build (20150721-e67b8c1)

I think its time to update it... Tongue Smile

How do i do that?
Do i just dl and run this: Setup 32bit: DSPlayer 17.3 Krypton - build (20170525-703c8f9) and it updates?
Do i need to dl and install all releases that are between 15.0 and 17.3 ?

Sorry for noobish questions but i got used an Rpi with LibreElec and autoupdates...

do it as a portable install so you can run them side by side to evaluate it.

basic instructions:

1. create a folder call KODI_DS or something like that, somewhere, anywhere.
2. Install it here,
3.Once installed dont start it yet, go into the folder and right click KODI.exe and create a shortcut to it.
4. Rename the Shortcut KODI_DS
5.Right click on the shortcut and go into properties, add -p onto the target - i.e, c:\KODI_DS.exe -p
6. Drop the shortcut on your desktop.

You can now load and use it without it affecting your current install as all the user data will be stored locally in the folder rather than appdata or your windows profile. It works in exactly the same way, its no more stable or less so.

I do all mine like this now as to back it up and just create a copy of the folder, no messing, I often create a copy and update that to test it before doing my main folder.

Portable just works, no idea why everyone doesnt use it tbo

Thanks for the proposal but i need to update so that i dont start setting it from scratch...
I have no need of 2 different programs

Question still stands.

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - stoolzo - 2017-08-24

Ok, try this.

1.Take a backup of your current V15
2 .Install a portable version of V15
3.restore the V15 backup into the portable version.

You now have a fully working portal version of your existing setup.

4.Use the update to update the portable V15 version.

This might work, havent tried it but you have nothing to lose as nothing touches your current install.

Using Backup Addon ??

I take there is no "official" method of updating?
